  1. So the server owner did some scripting last night while I was offline, (It's usually me who adds the scripts) so I don't specifically know what was edited and where, but since then when anyone tries to join the server it stays on "waiting for server to start authentication" for 20/30 seconds before spawning into the middle of the ocean (obviously not the actual player character). Does anyone have any idea what we can do to repair the server? I can provide any files you may need to check on.
  2. Hi. I just setup a server at Vilayer, and when I installed Epoch, it told me that I had to remove Dayz Chernarus - so I did. Epoch apparently got installed, but now when I try to access my server in Dayz Launcher, it wants me to download part of the DayZ vanilla mod (~418MB). If I do that, I can start the game, but Epoch does not load, just standard DayZ, and I recieve an error "You cannot play/edit this mission..." Any clue to what I'm doing wrong here?

That is if you don't use vilayer. Addons: Mission system with OverPoch weapons (A.I.) Custom Loot for OverPoch Action Menu: Deploy Bike Deploy Motorcycle Packing Vehicle (only bike) Self Blood bag Flip Vehicle Group Management Color Filters (15+ I think) Change view distance (about 10 different view distances) donator tab for admins (you got to add it your self and the donator file) Plot for Life Group Management Custom GUI Service Point (Auto refuel and repair) Snap Pro Safe Zone (Traders but not all of them only the main ones)(Bandit might not have a safezone so you will have to add it) Walking Zeds Anti Abort Duping fix Anti Salvage in Trader with 2 sql files SQL 1 is for clean up so when a player dies it will delete the dead body (it builds up if you don't delete it) and to delete destroyed vehicles SQL 2 is a trader_data.sql its there but i would not recommend to use it but if you do. Make a back up of your trader_data.sql before using mine. Vilayer: adding the Origins map to your mod. Step 1: If you have OverPoch already installed you can upload your Origins files from your Arma 2:OA with the key (you can download this with Dayz Launcher) or you can uninstall your OverPoch if you have it downloaded and then install the Dayz Origins mod and then uninstall it (so that the origins files and map is in your servers directory) and then reinstall OverPoch. (if you can't find the key in your Arma 2:OA folder i left a bunch of them in the server files under the readme folder) Step 2: once you have your map Origins map in you servers directory then go to epoch manager and change your map to tavi Step 3: upload my files to your server (mission and server files) (if your using your own pbos then go into you mission.sqm and change chernarus to tavi if it hasn't already been done) Step 4: go to your util and then look for and open overpochmods.txt Step 5: change it to this @DayzOrigins;@DayZOverwatch;@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZOverpochServer OR it might be this @DayzOrigins179;@DayZOverwatch;@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZOverpochServer Step 6: start up your server it should be good to go if not look at you debug\Console Monitor Dedicated Server(Might not be right): adding the Origins map to your mod. Step 1: download Origins and then upload\copy it into you servers directory with the key (you can download this with Dayz Launcher)(if you can't find the key in your Arma 2:OA folder i left a bunch of them in the server files under the readme folder) Step 2: make some changes if needed to the mission files and server files (maybe you just need to change the name)(if your using your own pbos then go into you mission.sqm and change chernarus to tavi) Step 3: then go into batch file and change the addons for -mod= to @DayzOrigins179;@DayzOverwatch;@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZ_Epoch_Server or it might be @DayzOrigins;@DayzOverwatch;@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZ_Epoch_Server; Look at the readme folder for extra addons, battleye filter changes, and infistar changes

Hello I rented one server game Arma 3 epoch and installed AiA so that the mod version available in vilayer and V0.1 and my most current and therefore is giving key error ( remove the keys to enter the server or change the files ) would like to know how to solve this ? if I Took uploading my @AllInArmaTerrainPack folder to the server work all right?
  5. I have vilayer as a host and would appreciate some help install DayZ overpoch onto the host. Im pretty sure I am installing it correctly but I need some help because when I join I get "wait for host" Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, Vilayer has switched from using GameSpy Player IDs to Steam Player IDs. As a result my InfiSTAR admin tools no longer work. I cant interact with traders either, their menus close right away. I have tried just inputting the new Steam ID into my AHconfig with no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  8. Hello anyone that reads this, I just started hosting with Vilayer and am having one hell of a time getting my scripts running with VIlayer. I've literally went back and re-researched all the scripts I had and their installation instructions. After doing so, any modifications I happen to make to the overpoch_taviana mission folder on Vilayers customcode folder path, I get hang ups with trying to authenticate with the server, or better yet, sits on waiting for host. If I modify anything on the dayz_overpoch folder for the server files, everything works fine, authentication and playability on the server works with no problems. The WAI, DayZAI, EMS, and Infistar Antihack work correctly after I installed them, just dont know why making any sort of modifications to the init and description files in the root of the mission folder cause the server to have a stroke. I have had at least some experience with SurvivalServers before the link to the database broke and they refused to give me service. Vilayer has been very attentive to my needs thus far. Any help would be amazing because I am just sitting here with my thumb up my ass feeling like a moron for not understanding why things do not work.

Hello all, Call me hopeless but I cannot seem to get Epoch Origins working on my ViLayer server, I have followed the very vague instructions and looked through many forum posts but still cannot find a solution, I can get the server to start but upon login I get stuck on a wait for host screen with the MOTD's running in the bottom left and my IGN flashing in red up the top right corner, I have sent a ticket to ViLayer but as you would expect they only care about one thing, Taking your money, the rest is your problem, funniest managed server I have ever came across in my life, and access to ALL files and functions are to limited to call it a virtual server. If anyone can help and/or has some sort of step by step tutorial they can offer it would be much appreciated. Thankyou.

Hi everyone first time posting.i just need some help with WAI mod script i followed the steps and placed the wai folder in my server.pbo witch in vilayer it's path is, \vilayercodecustom\dayz_epoch ...but im cunfused on the code's path " [] ExecVM "\z\addons\dayz_server\WAI\init.sqf"; ".in vilayer all the pbo is unpacked and the path is different do i use. " [] ExecVM "\z\addons\dayz_server\WAI\init.sqf"; " or "" [] ExecVM "\z\vilayercodecustom\dayz_epoch\WAI\init.sqf"; " ??? im not sure what to do,if anyone uses vilayer i could use some help thanks
  11. Dear survivors, I have been playing epoch for about 2 years now, and im really experienced with it. I have been admin on two server and mod on many server. And now its time to begin my own server. I bought one with a friend and he coded the admin menu in it and some other stuff, but now the problem is we can't get the server turned on and able to join for anyone, not even ourself? It isn't showing up on DayZCommander either.. we bought it around 12 hours ago, and i did see another topic where it said it can take 24 hours for the server to be provisioned.. what do they mean by this and does anyone know any solutions for it? Thanks for reading this and i'm hoping for someone to help us, cheers. ^_^
  12. I put my admin base.sqf in my maps folder in vilayercodecustom/missions/epoch.chernarus/maps then at the bottom of the init I put [] ExecVM "maps\admin base.sqf";. When I join my server, I receive mission file (140 KB). Then I get the error, "Cannot load texture ibr\ibr_hangars\icons\icon5.paa" When I click continue, I get requesting authentication, retrying to authenticate, repeat. Then I get disconnected. If I remove the "[] ExecVM "maps\admin base.sqf";", it launches normally, but with no admin base.I followed the instructions on: . The IP is 64.31.51.162:2402.   13. Hey everyone, Ok so I've tried reading everywhere and just cannot get this server to run using Vilayer. I've reset everything and am going to do this from scratch. Would love if I could get a walkthrough or the steps required to get this server to work. I have no idea where the .bat file is located! So information on that may help but would really love some help. This is all I have done so far. Install Epoch go through Epoch manager and install Overwatch files Thanks Meeko

Hi all, So last night the server was updated by Vilayer to allow the new steam access and now no players can get in All updated by steam on our PC's / Laptops so I know the versions etc are correct Server version is showing as Version 1.63.125402 All players are getting the below error :- Include file z\addons\dayz_code\system\ca\functions\init.sqf not found Although I can confirm that file exists in the server Any ideas ?
  16. Ever since the new steam integration vilayer has been a nightmare. Very little support and re-sending the same message. I've done a fresh vanilla epoch install to my server and yet it still kicks me or anyone who tries to join. It seems like the primary issue in the rpt is player without identity. I've reinstalled arma 2 client side with all components twice. I've even tried shutting down battleye. I figured it might be a database issue. I am using Vilayers Epoch manager, to upload all the overwatch content, and my server is running. tha problem i am having is that when i spawn a gun from overwatch and relog, its gone. aloso when i change skins with a morph, it takes away the ability to be able to teleport. anybody know why this may be happening?

Hey, currently trying to install Overpoch for Vilayer, I think I've gone through the steps right but not sure If you can help I tend to forget to check the forums sometimes so here's my ts if you don't mind :) 192.99.37.36 I made my changes to my Mission.sqm for the Overwatch addons and it couldn't find the mods and wouldn't let people join, then I added the Overwatch Client files because I saw someone posting about them adding them to the server and now I get this, Not sure where to go from here

So we need someone of you, to help us Scripting our Server, or at least give us kind of a tutorial..   22. ok ive had 5 servers, never had a problem getting this going.. Vilayer is new to me, so maybe theres something im missing. ok to the point: I got it set up, i run it, it connects fine.. I can type in dart, and they see me talking.. but i cant see anything being said in dart.. im not able to monitor.. Ive tried it with and without BEC installed. nothing.. I have the same issue if i try using Battlewarden.. they can see me, cant see them..
  23. Hi ladies and gents, Firstly I will start by saying that I am very new to all of this so forgive my ignorance please. My friend and I are running a server from Vilayer (dayZpackage 50 slots etcetc), so far I have managed to install a bunch of my addons, made some of my own (basic) changes to things. Generally its been a very fun and reward process getting my own server up and running just how I want it. However two things have been bugging the hell out of me. I have spend so much time trying to figure both things out that I am just totally at a loss, sooo here I am asking for some help from you guys that know a lot more than me :D. First of all my server time is wrong. Always: The server isnt loosing time, its just one hour behind what it should be. Ive set the server time via Vilayers controls (set server time in the control pannel and in my profile) to UTC+1. However the server is always 1 hour behind. For example if i run the "current server time and time zone" script in Vilayers control pannel its says its 1903. In game on my server the time is 1803. Any one know what the hell that is all about? Secondly and most importantly: I cannot get BEC to work at all, nor Vilayers own "server messages" addon. On vilayer there is an option to automatically install and uninstall BEC. No further setup (out side of the config.cfg) should be needed. However BEC literally does nothing, the error log displays nothing. It literally is doing nothing. Vilayers "Server messages" addon does nothing as well. Does anyone know why these arent working? What other way can I get server restart warning? Thanks for any replies. Josh

If you need any help with setting up, reorganizing, implementing custom scripts, custom mods, add weapons, add vehicles, Implement custom Anti-hack, tidying up the mission file, ect.
