  3. Hey guys I use to have my own server about 4 years ago and had an awesome time running it, it was small player base maybe 7-8 people online at all times but I still had a blast. I really missed the game and tinkering with scripts and decided it was time to come back and start up a new server, I'm not super great at scripting I have a lot of learning to do but I see myself being here for while and willing to learn. I want to create this not only for advertisement but also to get to know the community better behind the EPOCH mod, I want to tailor my server to what the people want, I also want to get suggestions on cool script ideas and ways to improve the server. I'm super busy with work lately and don't have a lot of interaction time in-game with the few people I have seen on, I use DaRT Rcon and have noticed them asking question in-game and I'm unable to answer because by the time I'm home they are already offline. I'll post my server information below and will continue to add and improve to this thread as I think of things over time. Server name: SJDayz Server IP/Port: 216.244.93.100:6302 Mod type: Dayz Epoch 1.0.6.2 Current scripts: KH-Refuel, WAI missions, DZAI, Zabns take clothes, ZSC(single currency), Axe house lights. Discord server name: SJDayz (if I need to provide more info for you to join discord let me know, never used it before). Additional information: The server will primarily be PVE based meaning you can progress and obtain loot and currency quickly in the game without needing to interact with other players, however PVP is still encouraged so be aware.

Vehicle parachute trading DZE_TRADER_SPAWNMODE = false; Enable purchased vehicle parachute spawning setting this to true. Tame Dogs dayz_tameDogs = false; If true, you can tame dogs ( with cooked meat right?). Sell Distance LAND Vehicle dayz_sellDistance_vehicle = 10; Ammount in meters how far an LAND vehicle has to be from trader to be sellable. Sell Distance SEA Vehicle dayz_sellDistance_boat = 30; Ammount in meters how far an SEA vehicle has to be from trader to be sellable. Sell Distance AIR Vehicle dayz_sellDistance_air = 40; Ammount in meters how far an AIR vehicle has to be from trader to be sellable. Para Spawn Player dayz_paraSpawn = false; If true, players will spawn in the air, dont forget to open your parachute! Position dayz_minpos = -20000; dayz_maxpos = 20000; The max and min distance from center of the map where a player can logout and still spawn on the same position when loggin in. Does this also affect the radiation you get when passing these places ( I dont think so)? BuildingLimits DZE_checkNearbyRadius = 30; Distance where the building limits will look for objects. DZE_BuildingLimit = 150; Ammount of builables allowed in this distance. DZE_BuildOnRoads = false; Allow/Disallow building on roads. DZE_DamageBeforeMaint = 0.09; Ammount of damage a builable must have before being able to be maintained. DZE_StaticConstructionCount = 0; Ammount of animations you have to do before something gets build. ( always +1) so number 0 = 1 step, number 1 = 2 steps) DZE_PlotPole = [30,45]; 1st value is the radius of a plotpole 2nd value is the radius where the next plot can be build. DZE_maintainRange = ((DZE_PlotPole select 0)+20); If you maintain this is going to be the range where it maintains. Default: (plotradius + 20 meters) DZE_requireplot = 1; 1= Need a plot to build, 0 = you can build anywhere. DZE_AntiWallLimit = 3; Not really sure about this. Amoount of tries u can get to get trough a wall before u get killed ? Humanity Showing DZE_HumanityTargetDistance = 25; The distance where it becomes visible if a player is bandit or hero ( blue red names). Friendls Saving DZE_FriendlySaving = true; Save the friend to the database or not. Custom loot tables. DZE_MissionLootTable = false; Set to true of you want to use own loot tables ( include them in description.ext ofcrouse) Config traders DZE_ConfigTrader = false; Set to true if you want to use config traders. Include them in your description.ext) LootSpawnTimer DZE_LootSpawnTimer = 10; Not really sure. The time that takes to start spawning loot in an area? Heli Lift DZE_HeliLift = true; Allow/disallow default epoch heli lifting Full moon nights dayz_fullMoonNights = false; If true nights wont be pitch black, moonlight will make it doable. Vehicle Ammo Saving DZE_vehicleAmmo = 0; 0 : amo in vehicles weapons will reset on restart. 1:ammo will save and respawn on restart. Access backpack in trader area. DZE_BackpackGuard = true; If true, it closes the gear menu when close to another player in trader area's CleanNull DZE_CleanNull = false; No idea. Having issues with the epoch events, I don't seem to be getting my correct schedule timing the way I have it setup I should be getting an event spawn at 5 minutes and then another event spawn every 30, 5, and 20 minutes right? EpochEvents = [["any","any","any","any",5,"event1"],["any","any","any","any",35,"event1"],["any","any","any","any",5,"event2"],["any","any","any","any",10,"event2"],["any","any","any","any",5,"event3"],["any","any","any","any",25,"event3"]]; So with event number 2 it seems to spawn the first one around 5 minutes and then the other one around 10 minutes but it doesn't continue to spawn after the first two initial ones.

  11. Hello there, Today is the first day I ever had this issue: the game closes itself for updating BattlEye (something that, apparently, isn't doing). As soon as I join my server via DayZ Commander, I connect to the lobby and then, after a few seconds, a red BattlEye error message appears: The installation is never done, because everytime I connect to server's lobby, it appears the same message and the game closes itself after a few seconds. I already tried uninstalling BattlEye, install it back and reinstalling ArmA2 OA Beta Patch, but that didn't do the trick. Here's the RPT Client Log: I also have taken a look at RPT Server's Log: Do you have any solution for this issue? It really never happened to me, which is really weird. PD: Don't just say it's easy to find out in Google, because I have already been searching for a while how to fix this and didn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

The mod from taviana is the latest Dayz Taviana 2.0 but when im trying to join im getting a error that the server needs a key or i have to remove some files. i tried searching google but i didnt had much succes with that. My question is, can someone send me the valid keys for the latest Taviana dayz mod? Or if you know what im dealing with please help me. Thanks

  16. Hello Survivors, I play on a server which has arround 60~80 FPS for me. Ping is 130ms. Hardware is i7-6700k, GTX 1080, 16GB RAM and I tested the game on a HDD and SSD. Both the same failure. Expansions/Mods: Arma 2, Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, Arma 2 PMC, Arma 2 BAF, Epoch 1.0.6.2, Overwatch 0.2.5 Deinstalled and downloaded again 3 times. Still the same bug. Nvidia Driver is uptodate!   18. This is How-to reskin/retexture vehicles. I do not take credit for any of the script. I just made a how-to because a few people asked for it. For advanced user: This was created after a lot of searching and at least 100 different ways of trial and error. It's unbelievably simple and I'm sure someone has posted this before but I hope it helps. Features: No noticeable server startup lag. Easy to install. Works on the fly for purchased vehicles. Works for dynamic vehicles. Works on server restarts. Tested with 7 custom vehicle skins setup on traders and dynamic, worked flawlessly and tested restarts too. Credits [VB]AWOL whose postethe proper way to do this. [VB]AWOL + Epoch Dev Team and EpochMod.com community for sharing awesome mods. Requirements Custom texture files that are known to work. Ability to edit sqf files PBO Manager Notepad++ Installation Step 1. Get some custom textures and put them in your mission folder somewhere. Write down the folder structure for future use. For my example textures are in the custom folder in my mission file. Step 2. Unpack your dayz_server pbo Step 3. open these three files: server_publishVehicle2.sqf, server_publishVehicle3.sqf, and server_monitor.sqf Step 4. In your server_monitor.sqf find this: _lockable = 0; if(isNumber (configFile >> "CfgVehicles" >> _type >> "lockable")) then { And ABOVE it put this if (_type == "SUV_TK_CIV_EP1") then {_object setVehicleInit 'this setObjectTexture [0, ''custom\SUV.jpg''];';}; Change the Vehicle Classname and the texture pathing for your texture and vehicle. Keep adding more lines like this for each texture that you need. Step 5. Again in your server_monitor.sqf find this: // # END SPAWN OBJECTS # And below it put this: processInitCommands; Step 6. In server_publishVehicle2.sqf find this: } else { _object = createVehicle [_class, _location, [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; }; And BELOW it put this: if (_class == "SUV_TK_CIV_EP1") then {_object setVehicleInit 'this setObjectTexture [0, ''custom\SUV.jpg''];';}; Notice the only difference is _class instead of _type. Again keep adding more lines like this for each texture that you need. Step 7. This Step is for BOTH: server_publishVehicle2.sqf AND server_publishVehicle3.sqf find this: publicVariable "PVDZE_veh_Init"; And BELOW it put this: processInitCommands; Step 8. Now in server_publishVehicle3.sqf find this: //Add weapons _objWpnTypes = _weapons select 0; _objWpnQty = _weapons select 1; And ABOVE it put this: if (_class == "SUV_TK_CIV_EP1") then {_object setVehicleInit 'this setObjectTexture [0, ''custom\SUV.jpg''];';}; It's the same line from server_publishVehicle2.sqf with _class instead of _type. again repeat more lines exactly like this for more textures. Step 9. Save Changes and Repack PBO Congrats your done! Note: This could also be done by creating a function and then calling the function from each file, i think.... but I prefer to do it this way.

Hey guys, went through every single skin from ow and pulled out the ones that weren't just repetitive skins to reduce clutter since as you can see this is huge, but this basically fixes an issue where if you were to wear this skin it prevents it from vanishing after restart. Goes in your variables.sqf where it says "AllPLayers =" Then skin list of course. Hope this helps someone. This is for your variables.sqf Saw some mess ups, fixed em :)

I already uninstall and reinstall the game from steam, move AddOns to OA, used "[email protected]_Epoch;" and I have been tried lots of things to try to fix this error. this message continue every time I try to log in any server, a .pbo problem... please, can some one help me to fix this issue? thank you for the attention!
