  1. Hello, thanks in advance for any help you may provide. So, after playing last night, I wake to find my version is not the correct one to play on the server where I'm an admin, but it is not "my" server, so I'm no guru at this stuff. I tried a few things in DZC, nothing worked so I went on the internet to find help. A thread here seemed quite useful, Brockie's thread about downgrading version 1.63 to 1.62 and on it there was a video from Spooney showing another, similar way of doing the same thing. I did both of those and they worked in getting my Arma2 OA version down to 1.62.95248 which is what the goal was. Great. But the final step in both those tutorials is to select which patch version you want in DayZ Commander and install it, then good to go... only it doesn't work for me. In DZC, it now says my current Arma2 version is 95248 and when I install 103718 it starts to do it, tells me it cannot be interrupted, etc. and asks to continue. I click Yes and then the installer starts but at 3% I get the message "Wrong CD KEY" and yes, I know that's "normal" but the install has jumped to 100% and doesn't seem to have changed anything. Clicking Ok on the CD key message and the completed install window but DZC still says my Arma version is 95248, not 103718 like it should be. I've tried this so many times, I've tried uninstalling Arma2 OA and DZC and installing the patch manually and still nothing. Please, someone help me! :D This is my favorite game, it's all I really play and I found myself staring at my Steam Library for an hour before settling on something else... There's got to be a solution somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Why doesn't it update like every tutorial says it should? I literally tried for 3 hours today... -Booch, a very sad Booch
  2. Hey guys, I am still on 1.62.103718 and planning to work on the server tomorrow night & Saturday basically to reinstall it to bring it to a more recent version. So I want to ask the more experienced fellow owner/admins here what version are you running at the moment, are there any major issues with 1.0.5.1 and any other advice you find relevant? Via PM I've already consulted MGT who is very helpful and provides solid advice but in case he's away I really need to get going tomorrow, hence the thread here. So what do you advise, shall I just go to the latest version since we heard DayZ Commander is about to be released (presumably it'll be supporting the latest version without any issues)? Is there a particular version that is clearly better to run at this point in time? I know 112555 has some issues with being not being deleted properly which in turn affects server performance after some runtime but I don't know much about other (higher) versions. Thanks in advance!
  3. This is not my fix, I'm just posting it here for people as there seems to be a lot of bad information out there. This fix requires the steam version of arma 2. 1. First go into your Arma 2 OA folder and delete all the exe files (ArmA2OA, arma2oaserver, Arma2OA_BE) 2. Open the Expansion folder and inside delete the folder called 'beta'. If you are running a newer version you might not have a beta folder and you can skip this step. 3. Now go into your steam library and right click on Arma 2 OA -> properties. Select the beta tab and pick 1.62 - older version of the game. 4. Again in properties choose local files tab and verify integrity of game. This will bring you back to 1.62.95248 5. Now you can open DayZ Commander and install any patch you want, no more error about 1.63 being newer then 1.62. Hope that helps.
  4. Hi All, We are currently having major issues with running our Overpoch server on Arma 2 Patch 112555 we do not know what will happen if we downgrade to patch 103718 on our server. Will this replace some of our files or can we just downgrade easily ??? Thanks for your time.
  5. When I try to join the server I am creating, I get the error "This server is running an incorrect version of the server side application. You cannot play on this server. If you are the server admin please contact DayZ staff." I've updated my own Epoch files on DayZ Commander, and I believe I am using the correct version of the Epoch files on the server. I downloaded 1.0.4.2/103718. However when I find the server on DayZ Commander, it says Version: 1.0.4.2/1.62.95251. I have tried updating and reinstalling Epoch and tried the beta patch for OA, but it seems to update the game, not the server. Any help would be appreciated.
