  1. I tried using Eliteness recently as recommended by Dwarfer. Here's the link he provided: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19784

     

    I didn't exactly get the best results, as part of the SQM, I believe from the class Markers line down didn't show up in the unRap'd version of the file. Probably user error though, so you might have better luck than I.

     

    I ended up using the mission.sqm contents that Darth posted in another thread, though I can't seem to find it at the moment.

  2. I thought I would try this out but when I unpacked the mission PBO and opened the mission.sqm in Notepad++, the content was unreadable gibberish. It's highly likely that this is a PEBKAC error. I'd just like to know if I'm in the wrong file, trying to edit the file incorrectly, not holding my arms in the proper aerial antenna angle, or all of the above.

    My buddy and I were trying out the new Epoch release with 0.5.1 A3EAI last night on my test server. While we were stopped at a trader clearing out our backpacks, an AI came within no further than 20 meters and fired at us, killing the trader (and nearly us as well).

     

    I've never had this happen before. Is this normal behavior that I just hadn't encountered? Could it be that the AI spawn outside a protected zone and then come inside the zone in pursuit? Or maybe I don't understand 'protected zone' as well as I thought :)

  4. In Tobias' post he states that there is an 'anti-camper' feature that "...UAV's and sappers will spawn on top of player(s) that stay still or in the same zone." I wasn't aware of this.

    [Changed] Chance to spawn sapper every 5 minutes (max of 3 within 800m). Chances increase while in a city and if the player is soiled.
    [Changed] Chance to spawn drone when player fires weapon (max of 3 within 800m). Chances increase while in a city and are reduced if player uses a silencer.
  6. If you prefer having stocked traders, it is incredibly easy to add via Redis Desktop Manager. Of course that assumes you have your own server. I built some inventory lists for testing that I would be happy to share if anyone would like them. But if you're already running a server chances are you have the know-how to figure it out for yourself.

     

    Also, regarding trader "cities" being impractical (from a storyline perspective), I have one word....Bartertown! :P

  7. Submerged, thanks for the suggestion! I looked into autohotkey, and while I'm sure I could make it work, I'd rather not have to map my A3 keybinds outside of the game. Will there be a selection menu added to the in-game control settings that will allow remapping of the default controls unique to Epoch? Or does Epoch use keybinds set to other control functions within Arma 3? Just trying to make sure I understand this better :)

  8. You will be able to change this and all keys in the 0.2 patch. We have it already setup backend wise just need to make the UI for changing them.

    Thanks dev team for working on this. I remap all my keys using 'tfgh' for movement, so I was handicapped when having to switch back to the default layout to try the new Epoch.

     

    Is the Epoch controls UI implemented now, with 0.2.0.1? If so, where might I locate these settings so I can change them to better fit my custom keymapping?

     

    If the UI is not available yet, is there an alternate way I could change the Epoch keymaps?
