  1. OK after trying the "#shutdown" command rather than killing the task via a batch file,

    I am still having the same trouble.

     

    Randomly the server does not seem to connect to the database properly, and all

    buildables vanish.

     

    This issue really has me stumped, and I cant seem to find a reason for it.

     

    Any other ideas from anyone will be great.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

     

    I can assure you I am stopping the server (well killing the task anyway)

    This is how I am stopping the server from my batch file.

    taskkill /im arma2oaserver_napf.exe

    arma2oaserver_napf.exe being the renamed exe for the server in question.

     

    Also I am running 1.0.4.2a so I really am stuck at what could be the cause.

     

    Is it better to use #shutdown from BEC rather than executing my batch file to restart

    both BEC and the server ?

  3. Hi all,

     

    I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue, and if so

    how you have managed to cure it.

     

    Basically sometimes (randomly) when my server restarts it seems

    to not connect to the database properly, and all buildables vanish,

    but strangely the vehicles and gear stay.

     

    Now when this happens, the server also spawns in a new set of

    vehicles.

    A server restart solves the problem with the bases, BUT the fresh

    lot of vehicles stay, effectively doubling the number of vehicles on

    the server.

     

    While this sounds like not a huge issue, the number of vehicles

    on my server starts to get out of control, and this kills server FPS.

     

    Any help on this issue would be fantastic, as I am at a loss.

  4. Hi all,

     

    I have experience both with Epoch and Servers (as some of you will know)

    BUT try as I might I just can not get Taviana Epoch to work.

    I have tried

     

    @Taviana (dayztaviana 2.0)

    @taviana (taviana 1.0 from playwithsix)

    @Tavi_DayZ_Epoch (from an old tutorial I found online)

     

    And none of them seem to work, I just get server key errors when i try to join.

    (And yes I included the taviana keys from the epoch server files in my keys folder)

     

    This has me tearing my hair out (and I really don't have that much left lol)

     

    Can anyone help me out with this PLEASE !!!

    Thanks for the player_updateGUI.sqf  bud, that has saved me some work lol

     

    This displays the new GUI icons fine, but there is no background behind them,

    (also located in the pbo are the backgrounds, basically a dark background to sit behind the icons)

    And try as I might I can not get these background images to appear correctly,

    Also it seems that the borders do not appear, again these are located in the pbo

     

    So one step closer, now we just need to find out where the backgrounds and borders should be called

    and we are good to go.

     

    I thank everyone for the help with this, and I hope that between us we can get this done.

  6. Yeah the sad thing is that to my little brain :) it looks like the only thing included is the .paa files,

    I have been comparing the player_updateGui.sqf from DayZCe to Epoch and things really are

    quite different.

     

    the closest I have seen to someone getting this working is in this post 

     

    I am going to continue banging my head against the keyboard and see what I can come up with,

    but I have only been scripting for a couple of months now and am feeling quite out of my depth

    on this one :)

    That gives me a starting point, but I think the DayZCE 1.8 GUI icons are already in the PBO somewhere, as the changelog quote 

    states ...

     

    [ADDED] Chernarus-Spawnselection and 1.8 GUI-Icons to the dayz_code.pbo

     

    So I pulled the dayz_code.pbo and found the .paa files for the new GUI, they can be found at ..

     

    \dayz_code\gui\status

     

     

    So I am now working on calling those rather than the standard epoch GUI icons  :)

     

    If I manage to do this I will post my scripts here !

  10. Hi all,

     

    I need some help migrating an Epoch database from DayZ.st

    It seems they use a different hive to the one Epoch uses as default.

    I have tried exporting the database as an sql file and importing it

    into the new database but things are really messed up, (ie bases

    are only half there, if there at all, and same with vehicles)

     

    Any help that can be given with this problem would be fantastic

    as we really need to move this server to its new location quite soon.

     

    I have root access to the new server (as its on my dedicated box),

    and would love some help with this.

    at setting a Poda server up for a look see ...

     

    Does anyone have a working Podagorsk mission file,

     

    Yes I know I can make one, but am just feeling lazy and wonderd

    if anyone alredy had one up and running ??

    So when I see something like this ..

    So I am guessing if I want to add some building supplies then I add it to ID 508

     

    Please excuse my n00bness but I have not dome much with SQL at all :)

    Does anyone have the trader ID's listed,

    (ie what trader is what trader id)

     

    I want to add some items to some traders, and am not sure

    what trader id matches what trader.

  14. hey all,

     

    I now have my server up and running all good, apart from one thing ...

     

    When I buy a vehicle (of any kind) at the traders, and its dropped

    by parachute, it drifts so far off course that it gets destroyed, or

    stuck in the trader city.

    Is there any fix for this, or can I remove the drop and just have the

    vehicle spawn in on the helipad ??

     

    ALSO

    Is there a way I can remove the name from the Debug Monitor ?/

    I am a LiveStreamer and plan on streaming a LOT of epoch, also

    I wish to make my server as stream friendly as possible, so I want

    to remove the name to avoid stream snipers.

     

    Any help with this would be stunning as I am planning on opening

    the server to the public very soon.

  15. Hi all,

     

    I have an Epoch 1.0.1.1 server up & running 100%.

    I have also added SARGE's AI to the server and thats running fine,

     

    BUT,

    I have an issue when adding 2 mods that I would really like running,

     

    Krixes - Tent Sleep Healing Script - found http://opendayz.net/threads/krixes-tent-sleep-healing-script.9260/'>HERE

     

    and

     

    Towing & Heli lift script - found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp2nGDN6jGM'>HERE

     

    The issue is, that they both override the self action scripts already running, so I can no

    longer access my Safe or the Traders.

     

    Any help with this would be warmly welcomed, (I am quite new to the ARMA engine

    but am a quick learner, and really want to get these scripts running.

  16. If you have acces to config.cfg for your instance 

    this line

    reportingIP = "127.0.0.1";

     

    Replace by

    reportingIP = "arma2oapc.master.gamespy.com";

    With this, you can see it in DayZcommander

     

    Nox you are a STAR !!!

    That worked 100%, and I also can't believe I didn't spot that myself :)

     

    Server is now visible in DayZ Commander !!

  17. hi all,

     

    I have set up a DayZ Epoch server up at Sp00neY's Place.

    Server is running fine, and all the ~{SP}~ testers have had only one issue

    that I am unable to cure.

     

    The server is not seen by DayZ Commander, all ports are open, and HLSW

    sees the server no problem, Gametracker will only see it as an ARMA3 server !?!?

    Server is at 94.23.152.188:2602

     

    I have even tried putting the server onto the default port of 2302 and I still

    get the same problem.

     

    I do have several other DayZ servers running on this box with no issues at all.

     

    Any help that anyone can offer on this issue would be great as I am now lost

    as to what is causing this issue.
