  1. ok the "real" admin told me we don't use a reporting tool - just the restart.log

     

    ist there any other .log for these reports?

     

    I just have the ArmaOA.log and Restart.log but the entries with "too many objects on position" aren't there anymore.......i'm bloody confused

     

    RESTART.LOG

    here u can see that we have DAILY RESTARTS at 4am, 8am, 12am, 16pm, 20pm, 12pm - so every 4 hours.

    BUT in between there are always unknown restarts (not by the admin or any other person) and everytime we set back the sauerland.pbo it works perfect.

    I commented the confusing lines.

  2. Hello Gamers,

     

    i've got a certain problem with Sauerland.

     

    We did a few changes in the 3D Editor and SelfBB/Snapping Tool. After an Arma2OA Update the server wasnt able to start the .pbo!

     

    Now we changed the edited .pbo to the original. We've played with it for 2-3 Weeks without a problem.

    But now the server had the same problem with the original sauerland.pbo.

     

    Does anyone else has the same probs?

    Or is it a Nitrado problem?

    Or is it a wickedAI/DZMS prob?

  3. Hello People,

     

    i had antoher thread where i asked for help because of an Steam Arma2OA Update.

     

    I found the real problem yesterday.

     

    After we did an Arma2OA update via Steam - the sauerland.pbo "crashed". So we were not able to join our server.

     

    Things we have (had) in this pbo:

     

    Self Bloodpack

    Snaping Tool (not pro)

    Map changes via 3D Editor

     

    We always got the failure message when we've joined, that an african building can't be loaded bla bla bla.

    i was to lazy to implement this building into the code AND i was to lazy to delete it (via editor).

     

    Could the update caused the problem? I think so BUT why did that have effect on the sauerland.pbo?

    because of the probs with the african building or was it selfbp/snaping tool or the whole map changes i did?

     

    Wicked AI / DZMS is still working fine because it's not in the map.pbo.

     

    Should we test it out step by step or did anyone else had this problem (or experience with it)?

  4. So we "solved" the Problem. sauerland.pbo was "damaged". so we set back the sauerland.pbo and everything was good.

     

    could it have been the changes i did in the 3D editor? we always had a problem with an african house (but map was still playable). Or was it the snaping tool/selfbb?

     

    anyone else had this prob?

     

     

     

     

    edith: we had no BE update today^^ but yesterday and we've played well till today

    Arma 2 OA Update = Server not found?

     

     

    Hy people,

     

    played well in the morning on my server and had no problems.

     

    BUT

     

    at 8pm i had a small Arma 2 OA Update (via Steam) and since then i can't find my server on DayZ Epoch!! 

    Server is online and works (a few restarts didn't change anything).

     

     

    HEEEELP i want to play :(

     

     

    Does anybody else has this problem?

  6. We use SAUERLAND - i love the size and that you really have to fight if u respawn because sometimes u have to run 10 Minutes to find the next City. Only thing i miss is the sea - but it's still my fav without water (never used water vehicles - it's just for the eye).

     

    And i like Sauerland because u have enough space to edit the map for you personal customizing. 

    Never tried NAPF on our server but is my 2nd Fav....(played it on a friends server).....Napf is a real beauty!

     

    Can't see Cherna anymore - i knew every street and city in the first 24 hours of playing. just boring - even with AI etc.

     

     

     

    edith: and yes - Napf is based on Switzerland not on Sweden ;)

  7. One page up will not create a nasty gap and urals will fit in the opening.

    but what do you do with the gap on the floor? sandbags? 

    i've tried it and it looks.....i've to get used to....

     

    i mean - if you put a normal wall next to the large wall with the door it looks nasty but putting it higher looks.....strange^^

    and if you want to have a second floor there's no chance to fit the walls above.

     

    i just thought there's maybe an addon like "swing doors" or something like that. We r working with the normal snapping tool - i think we should try the snapp build pro + vector building.

  8. We had a few visitors on our Server - young Gamer (i think). 

    They asked us if we can put everything in the Toolbelt when you die and respawn as default inventory.

    I mean - how can you play a survival game when u have everytime EVERYTHING? 

    Would be like you have a lockable Car/Truck and a Base and every Weapon everytime you respawn. So u can sit in your base and drink coffe and wait for nothing.

    When do all of you expect we can have DayZ Standalone Server? Or won't there be any server for Standalone in the future?

     

    Ever tried something else as Zombie Survival? H1Z1 or stuff like that?

     

    And like you said - i hope Arma 3 brings a few new features (or nice bugs). We'll see.

  9. Good morning from Austria,

     

    is in epoch any other garage door available than the standard wood/metal doors?

    It's just about driving into the base with a MTVR or URAL Truck. The only truck who fits is the V3S. 

    Same issues with the Armored Hummer. No chance to geht in (because the weapon is too high).

     

    Any chances to fix that?

    I just want to park every car in my garage - if it's possible?!

  10. Hey Gamers,

     

    i had a few days of customizing the Map Sauerland and a few Scripts and the AI's and i thought about "How to make DayZ more exciting?" or "What should i do next without getting bored?".

    I mean, "professional" DayZ gamer don't play every day for 10 Hours just for looting Food, don't they?

    So i added Wicked AI and DZMS. Good. But the missions were not as hard as i thought - customized the scripts. Works fine. Less loot - harder NPC's. Also good.

     

    And i often saw that there is a brutal routine in how to play DayZ:

    1. Login the first time
    2. loot food and basic stuff
    3. loot weapons
    4. build a base
    5. find cars etc.
    6. sell them and buy lockable cars
    7. login every day for looting and selling (e.g. for maintaining base etc.)
    8. thats it

     

    Now i want to ask everyone of you - 

    • What do you do or how do you play or how did you customize your server to keep DayZ exciting? 
    • How do you prevent NOT falling in such a routine (i know sometimes you have to do it - just for surviving)?
    • Which modifications do you prefer?
    • How many Co-Gamer do you have on your Server? 
    • More Players = more fun?
    • How do you make it more difficult to survive? (less food spawn or more NPC's on tour etc.?)

     

    I'm just bloody curious how you guys customize your world so that you keep playing day by day!

    (and maybe i can steal a few ideas :P)

     

    Hope everyone enjoys it like i do (mixture of customizing and playing)!

  11. Hy Falcon,

     

    just a Question not a Bug i guess. When i fly over the "Kaserne" it's just a Lake - so, is the Lake called Kaserne or did you modify the map and there was a Kaserne before the lake came?

     

    But till now no known Bugs in the newest Version. Everything works fine with new AI's, Vehicles and custom modified Map.

    Still great work falconsan - hat er gut gemacht ;)

    Add the unknown blablabla to your mission.sqm under addons, copy the name from your RPT

    Yup will do that. This Failure comes everytime you log in. Annoying. 

    Just.....the last time i found the RPT was coincidence - where is it?^^

     

     

    2. I think my LootSpot won't be used anymore. I built in WickedAI and DZMS and there're so fu***** much items to loot. Maybe someday i'll add something to the Spot just for single Players e.g.! I've got a few informations now about ZombieSpawn and a different way for Loot in Buildings.

  13. every building i put into the custom map was already named with "LAND_barracks" etc.

     

    Is it a Problem when the original Sauerland doesn't have these Barracks i built? 

     

    Because e.g. i had problems with African Buildings - they are "unknown" when i log in. I mean they are there, positioned where i put them but i get the message "African Building can not be loaded because of "unknown" blablabla". Little bit confusing.

     

    But thanks - i'll check the building ID's again. Maybe i overlooked the new buildings.

    have the same Question.

    I built a LootBase/LootSpot on Sauerland and have to fill the Houses/Baracks with more special Loot than CarWheels etc. like Weapons or stuff like that.

    Only thing i always find is that you have to write a customized LootTable (including Building positions etc). But isn't it enough to 

    modify an established Loottable?

     

    Next thing is - i want to have about 100 Zombies located into this LootSpot/Base - how do i get these Zombies in there?

    It's just for making it more difficult to loot in there (like you have a 30-50% Chance to survive in there while looting).

  15. Really? But why does it work perfectly with Chernarus? Because it's the Default Map?

     

     

    EDITH: i've installed the Dayz Mod but i don't use it in the launch parameters. So that's not the Problem for sure.

    EDITH2: i've @dayz and @dayz_epoch1051 in my ArmaOA directory. That shouldn't be the reason either.

     

     

    BIG EDITH:

    i think we've used the wrong BE-Filters then. Should we take the epoch and overpoch Filter or the 1.8.1 Filter?? But when 1.8.1 is deactivated we should use the epoch from infistar.

    I think the problem is solved - checking it again on server and will write a feedback.

    i've posted this Question in the Nitrado Forums too but still no answers.

     

     

    A friend of mine (he's the Admin) and me reactivated our old nitrado dayz server.

    After playing a while on chernarus we've decided to try the Map Sauerland.

    So we re-installed the Server with Map Sauerland.

     

    Everything worked fine till we got two restrictions (BE).

     

    First one was script restriction #34:

    we fixed that in the script and everything was fine.

     

    Than we had the biggest problem with PUBLIC VARIABLE RESTRICTION #0:

     

    PublicVariable.LOG said:

    08.01.2014 18:30:29: Shizo (blablabla) blablabla - #0 "PVDZ_plr_Login" = ["bunchOfNumbers",<NULL-object>] 

    Server said:

    TIME: Player Shizo kicked off by BattlEye: PublicVariable Restriction #0

    OK so i saw we have to add a Filter to the publicvariable.txt.

    We did so and nothing has changed.

    We've downloaded the newest BE-Filters and finally we could login in to the Map.

    BUT

    only a few Minutes later it was again the same restriction #0. After this every one was kicked when he gets on the map.

     

    Do we still have the wrong filters? (sry i really don't know which filters my friend used)

     

    I want to play sauerland and not this.....cherna sh**!

     

    We have:

    Dayz Mod Version 1.8.1

    Epoch 1.0.5.1

    Nitrado Server

    Launching Game via DayZ Launcher

     

     

    We've tried it with NAPF too but had the same problems (like Sauerland). For testing we've tried Takistan (however) and a few people were able to login without problems but the Admin and I were stuck in character chose at the beginning. No Drama because we want to play Sauerland and just wanted to test the restriction failure.

     

    EDITH: forgot to say - when we were on the map/ingame for these few minutes, server said there is no one playing. Don't know if that is important.

     

    Any other solutions available?
