You could probably do it with Advanced Buildables and it would allow you to define what is needed to create a static object. I wouldn't imagine it being too hard to add to it either and I think there is a tut of how to add additional stuff to the list. You may also run into some issues if you use an antihack with it kicking people or may even kill them for thinking they are hacking but I think since it would be under advanced buildables that it would be allowed through the antihack since it gives you what you need to allow it through. Hope this gets you going in the right direction.
This is a good option, but I prefer to add the actual static weapon to trader and to the heli lift list( I use logistic).
That way it's a keyed vehicle. I had the issue where i made the static weapon packable and then players could just repack to get more ammo.
You're also going to run into the problem of people disassembling the weapon to try and move it. Then becomes the two backpacks, and you can't do anything with it. You're just going to have to tell players what to do.

Ok. that worked. Kinda. It got me into the server. however the spawn room is in the ocean (Under water) and you respawn exactly where you died with still no loadout.

Correct me if i'm wrong bu tthere should be no need to call from init.sqf with exec vm because the mission sqm is calling it. I'm a noob sorry
I should mention that I am using Infi. that seems to cause more problems than it's worth sometimes

You should copy the code from my first spoiler and paste it into Notepad++, then save it as "loadout.sqf". Then put it in your mission file in a location of your choice. Past that, you can do it a couple different ways. You can either just call the loadout.sqf from your mission init.sqf and then players will be given the loadout automatically on spawn or respawn. Or you can do it a little fancier like I did a couple pages back with the crate placed in the spawn building. Pay close attention to the coords of the crate though, as it will vary from map to map. The ones I posted are for Bornholm I think.
I tried both of these but with no luck.
When I called from init.sqf no loadout was given. After multiple deaths I tried the box and now the server just sits on the map screen. maybe I placed the box in the wrong section of my mission.sqm?

I'm sure theres a way to enter in worldspace and make it like a trader city. (You would be able to call it anything you like I Imagine) "You can not log out in a banking zone"..or whatever
Like when u join a fresh epoch map and it still wont let u log off in stary even though there isn't a safezone.

I have several issues right now that I need to have fixed as soon as possible. I would prefer that someone show me how to fix my problems rather than just do it for me. If you have the time to do this then please continue reading and my Teamspeak info will be at the end.
1. I have an event set up to unlock safes if they have not been touched for 14 days. This is not working correctly. It will work for a few days then stop all together.
2. Set damage on age does the same thing as the safes. it will damage walls once then never again.
3. I recently had database backups saving to Navicat premium. (I did not set this up). Well my free trial has run otu and I was going to purchase until I saw that it was $400 for the lesser version. So I need a program recommendation and tutorial on how to have 1 hour backups of my database. As for the program it needs to be user friendly. I am n00b.

I have two things i need to get working correctly.
1. Safes unlcking after 14 days. I have this and it will run for a couple days them it stops looking for safes that have not been updated.
2. Setting damage on buildables so players can maintain.The same thing happens here..you can maintain once then it never does damage again.
I'm not sure where I went wrong with these. I need someone to please show me the errors. through TeamViewer or just a really good explanation.

I have the same problem. I am using WAI 2.1.4 I wasnt so interested in having the AI use the launchers as I wanted them to be available to my players. So I just added them to the weapon list.
["RPG7V","PG7VR"] Add that to your sniper rifle line and they will spawn on AI as well as in the box..best fix I know of
Obviously you can change the launcher and ammo to your liking. I wouldnt add more than one launcher though because a ton of them will spawn in the box. Unless you have a large custom loot line for your AI.

Might be going blind from reading all the posts but I didnt see my problem.
Missions seem to spawn fine, however it is not announced to the server. It simply appers on the map. any ideas?
Know that I have not changed anything in the config except disabling the minefield.

I fixed it... I never moved the call line for fn_selfActions.sqf down below space interrupt like in the instructions, I didnt know that was important.. this whole time thats what was breaking it for me. Glad I figured out the fix for the safes

guys I can't test this for another few hours but I was looking at the default player_unlockvault.sqf and comparing it to the one in the vector folder.
In the vector folder there is this line
_playerID = [player] call FNC_GetPlayerUID;
but in the epoch server files that line looks like this
_playerID = getPlayerUID player;
so replace the first with the second and give it a shot

FIX CONFIRMED. Thank you very much!. after changes I was able to unlock ,lock, check cargo, and get into gear , and pack safes. everything works fine. Fix was implemented two days ago and nobody has reported any bugs. as for your problem with vector perhaps somewhere else in your install. I was also able t place object and change vector perfectly.

I've done exactly that. I couldnt be more happy. can't wait to get all my guys on the new IP
The freedom to now set up another server just for large scale events is great too..My server only has a few of the lesser military vehicles.(BRDM2,AH6J)...but now..I smell Abrams battles. SHould be interesting.

I really appreciate everyone's input. I think for now I'll save my pennies, and enjoy watching people shoot eachother at missions. Thank you guys again for taking the time to read and respond.
