Hi all. I am posting this here as I have searched google to see if I can contact infistar in regards to the weather change not working. I cannot find any contact info for some reason. As it stands... I am using GTX gaming Overpoch with infistar and have noticed when I select to change weather nothing happens. Is there something I need to enable or disable somewhere to get it working?

Hi again guys. I have just witnessed someone in a heli get shot down by AI at a mission. As he was coming down he jumped out and took no fall damage and no damage from the exploding heli. There was also a player that was stranded high on top of his base and jumped off without taking damage. I tried what you guys suggested within infistar. Is this correct? I can't seem to find an array to find the array for fall damage.

It's an overpoch server from gtx gaming.

Hi peoples! I have noticed players are not taking damage or dying when they kamikaze helis or vehicles. The vehicles explode and they just hop out unscathed. And apparently they take no fall damage. Haven't tested fall damage myself. Any light shed on this would be much appreciated.

Anyhow... I followed your instructions though when I log in it gets to creating character then hangs. Never mind. I really do appreciate your help. I have warned players on the load screen and to drop their backpack before they change skins. That's all I can do I suppose. Thanks again.

Yes I am using Epoch 1.0.5.1 though it is Overpoch from GTX Gaming based on Epoch 1.0.5.1. I will assume it's ok.

Ok... understood. But one thing... When I create the customcompiles.sqf do i copy and paste the contents you posted into the customcompiles.sqf? What you posted under the last reveal hidden contents.

The path DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus/DAYZ_CODE/INIT/ has a compiles.sqf already there along with a variables.sqf . Are you saying to create a customcompiles.sqf then copy and paste what you have under reveal hidden contents? And do I delete the compiles.sqf that already resides there? I hope im making sense.

Hi people. I have found this thread from Hardened (Thanks heaps by the way) relating to a fix for players losing all their coin from bank when changing skin without removing backpack etc... I am usually good at following instructions but I am having trouble understanding these instructions mainly the re directions and their locations ( I am using GTX Gaming servers and running Overpoch based on Epoch 1.0.5.1)
Is there anyone who can help me understand these first few lines of instructions? As to where to find the location of: player_wearClothes = compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "\z\addons\dayz_code\actions\player_wearClothes.sqf";

Hi all. I have a Dayz Epoch server and been online for little over a month now. Since I opened the server... within DarT I have had a lot of players connect but get disconnected within seconds... almost instantly at times. This has been going on since I opened the server. There are players that join from time to time and are hanging around but not much of a player base due to players connecting/disconnecting. Funny thing is... I sometimes see a player that had been trying to connect to my server... but can't due to being disconnected instantly... but has successfully joined another server. And the other servers are running the same arma 2 version and mod version. I even tested joining the other servers without issues. I contacted my server provider about this but they are just saying that players are just disconnecting from the server. Thing is... these players don't even make it to the lobby.
Has anyone ever had this issue and if there is any kind of explanation as to why this may be happening?
I appreciate anyones help.

Is there any way to lower the mission messages that appear in the middle of the screen instead of reverting to enabling the radio to produce the messages? It's a good idea but I would really prefer everyone to see the messages... just not in the middle of the screen. Anyhow.... if there is anyone that can help me with re-positioning the mission messages... I would very much appreciate it.

Hi all. I am running WAI missions on my server. Is there a way to make the mission messages appear down towards the bottom or top of the screen? By default they appear in the middle of the screen. I can't seem to find much info on this topic. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi all. I have recently opened an Arma 2 dayz Epoch server and have an issue/bug where picking up certain weapons... mainly big heavy weapons... the backpack disappears. I have searched the forums but have only found 1 related to this issue... but no info as to whether there is anything that can be done about it.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes I think it will just take time before players catch on. For the meantime... I disable battleye when im on and monitoring the server and as new players join.. i pay them a short visit and inform them of how battleye updates upon first entering the server when I enable battleye. So when I enable battleye they know whats going on. Its risky when disabled... but i cant find any other way of letting players know. Seems to to the trick.

Thanks CodlAsis. Much appreciate the info. Though... Im wondering if this new way of battleye updating happens to all epoch servers on all maps? And is it for all mods? Cause I see a handfull of epoch servers and overpoch servers that have lots of players. I ran 2 servers over a year ago.. with both servers full on weekends. 1 vanilla and 1 epoch and a deticated facebook page for them. Gained around 150 player base. For the ones who joined the page. Because people wanted the servers back up by popular demand... i decided to open one. But unfortunatley yeh... i guess people are just too keen to join servers and miss reading the command prompt window that tells them battleye is updating.
I understand its a good thing that battleye is combating hackers.... but in the manner it's updated... most people are just turning away from joining dayz servers. Or at least my server.

Hi there people. New to the forum and my first post. Anyhow... I have a Sauerland Epoch server and all running fine with only around 10 or so players since I opened it last week. I am seeing players trying to log in all the time but disconnect upon trying to join. What happens is... the first time anyone joins... arma will close to the desktop... then a command prompt will appear saying battleye is updating. After its updated arma opens again and takes you to the lobby. Problem is.... most people trying to join have no idea that battleye is even updating and just shut down arma. Since steam took over and you can now only play dayz by connecting to steam... I thought the same thing when I tried to join an epoch server. I joined but then a command prompt would pop up and I didnt even read it. I just thought there was something wrong so I shut the game down and moved on. Until I realized it was a battleye update for that server. I just don't undersatnd why... when people try joining my server for the first time... why battleye has to update in this way. As a result.. im missing out on new players all the time. Does this happen to anyone else? And is it all epoch servers or just Sauerland that this happens to?
