The very one. Used my gravatar account for the profile pic and couldn't remember what the actual pic was. So when his little yellow face appeared I figured what the hell, and just left him there.

Everyone's experiences do seem to be wildly different for whatever reason. I do check all the loot spawns and never leave anything out of ignorance. Vehicles don't seem to be a problem (For me at least), even helicopters - I just seem to come across them in the middle of the map (Fresh spawned ones anyway).
I think that might/could be the common theme here - where in the map people are looking. Coincidence? - possibly, but my experiences change drastically depending where I am and I get far more joy in the middle areas for some reason.
I think the balance maybe just needs tweaked slightly if anything. Not finding certain things just makes me more determined in any event (So long as I know they exist).

Every time I shoot one down it lands on a roof so I never get the chance to investigate.

The FP Vs 3rd Person debate has been going on for years. Personally, I prefer first person but I appreciate everyone has their own preferences.
For me, so long as there are servers for both available then I'll be content. I don't really see 3rd person as an 'exploit' as such - everyone on the server is playing to the same rules. However it does drastically change the way the game is played and I think it tends to spoil it somewhat.
You can't beat that shit-your-pants feeling when you're on an HC server in a town at night and you hear a gunshot close by... there's none of that hiding behind a wall and scanning your surroundings. You actually have to have a proper look and risk losing your head. (Which for me adds massively to the experience) :D

Afternoon guys
My experiences so far with loot....
- Pretty much zero bags (Not found one as loot at all - I've only taken from victims)
- Too many weapons, particularly high caliber ones
- Just a little too much food and water. This should be harder to find.
- Yet to find scrap metal, is it a myth?!
- Hatchets are like gold-dust. Only found one so far.
Loving the mod, just wish it was a little harder in some areas. :)
How about Increasing the loot spawn rate?

This loot bubble thing is interesting. I'm beginning to think I still just move too quickly although I do leave towns a fair distance and re-enter and still get no luck.
