Sleep to heal, I say! If people just had to wait 5 minutes or so... I didn't play a whole lot of the campaign and don't remember breaking my legs. Is that part of Arma or is that something the Epoch devs had to add? Aaaand someone interrupted me and I don't remember why I was asking... I'll come back to it later.
I believe it's just part of the mod, I've never broken my legs before in any other game modes so yeah. It just forces you to walk everywhere until you can heal.

i have to say after playing solo and sometimes witha group i think its fine.... we dont need loads of random bases people build after playing on a server for about 3 days then maybe never coming back, i have noticed quite a few ghost bases like that
Without base building the end game is nothing different to DayZ really which will just end up with a deathmatch game mode. I love looting and I'm someone a PvE player, I've had several 10+ hour characters and never found enough scrap metal to make more then 2 walls, I get bored of looting eventually though once I'm fully kitted out then I want to build a base to store more stuff in but it's next to impossible to do that especially when solo.
My suggestion is allow wood wall upgrades but have them weak as fuck, and possible able to shoot through them. It worked pretty well in DayZ epoch i believe why not use it here?

If you searched it yourself you could of put some links in for the Op just to speed things along, little things go a long way.

That would seem like an exploit and piss poor planning on your part.
This really isn't an exploit, if a is supposed to spawn when you kill a trader (Not sure if they are supposed to) then it's not an exploit this is how the game is coded. If the devs don't want this to happen then remove the system that punishes you for killing traders.
Piss poor planning is again probably not really true. It's hard to find first aid kits in general and if you have a broken leg then I don't really feel like walking for 3 hours to a town to search around it and possibly find nothing, killing the traders and getting the 3 first aid kits from the AI seems like a reasonable solution, if it's a bug that shouldn't happen then yes it could be seen as exploiting but then again alpha is alpha and players will always take shortcuts.

There are some called Keesha clothing, comes in like 3-4 different colours. Keep looking you'll find them.

It's in the lower right, zeroing isn't on all scopes in the game mostly sniper scopes.

at first sorry for my "maybe" english! im from Germany,
well dear Arma 3 Epoch Team thanks for that Awesome Mod that you create for arma 3!
of course its not all in game but i want to give you a little list of "my personality" Wishes for the Mod.
1. More Female Clothings! IMPORTANT A FEMALE GHUILE SUIT
2. Higher Chance to find Clothing for Girls! i found everywhere and everyone Male Cloth's but never for Females!
3. The Option to knock out some person like Altis Life Stile
4. EU Official Server
5. A safe or a option to transfer the Krypto into Silver(Gold) what ever. Where we have a chance to sell the Gold by a Trador to get Krypto.
Well thats everything what i can say at the moment.
Ah and maybe a Youtube Video or a Guide on your Webside how to build a base!

The servers were made public just last week, be patient jeez. This is a testing period of the game anyway Hardcore really isn't that necessary for alpha testing.

I'm having the same problem, except above the zeus icon on the main menu it doesn't say Epoch is active (it did when I first installed but now it's gone, I wiped PC afterwards) and I can't get it back onto the main menu. It's activated in my expansions and everything is grey'd out, so can't deactivate etc.
I've tried reinstalling the mod three times, un-installing it and verifying game cache for Arma 3. It's very frustrating as I've no idea what I done differently. I see video's telling me I need to move the files from the epoch launcher download to my arma 3 folder, but I didn't do that the fist time & it doesn't work either now that I've done that.
When I attempt to join games (99% are red/yellow dots) it keeps sending me back to multiplayer listings, if I get close to joining, I get the "Connection Failed" message, but that comes and goes. I've tried joining the servers that are official and they just send me back to the multiplayer menu without any message.
Do I NEED to have DLC's such as Karts, Heli's & Marksman to play? All the servers are showing them as on the server but I don't have any.
Although, when I join a green dot (No DLC listed) I still have the same errors..
Any help here would be GREAT!

You don't need to own the DLC's to play on the servers. But I had a friend with a similar problem who just done a fresh install of AMRA and it worked. Not sure if this is the best solution but it worked.

The hostile takeover are us server, too bad for eu players :/
Ping isn't all that important in this kind of mod honestly. Depends on your play style.

Once you download via the torrent just extract the zip file and place the @Epoch folder in the root directory of your Arma 3 folder. Then you can launch from the launcher or enable it in-game, it will ask you to restart Arma 3 in enabled in game. You should be good to go.
You can also load it directly from the Arma 3 launcher itself:

Put the @Epoch folder in the Arma 3 folder in steam. Should be something like this
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3

I just noticed the server list grew by about 50% http://epochmod.com/servers.php
Hostile Takeover is a huge community, they are the guys who run the King of the hill servers :D Very good community :)

When a game developer builds a game, a large majority of the ideas, changes and more comes from the community itself. We are the audience they are making the game for and even though they cannot make every single person happy they can reach grounds in which a lot of people are impressed. The community will have a huge impact on this mod and it's exactly why there is a feedback section to the forums.
I'm pretty sure half of the stuff being worked on is actually been thrown around the community many times and iterated based on the feedback we give them. Also, do we really want this to be standalone, where we would have to buy the game, which would go into another disappointing early access on steam which could possibly turn out to be another DayZ standalone.

Looks like that server requires you to be whitelisted, not 100% sure how you go about getting whitelisted on there.
Try joining one of the public official servers on the list above and see if that works.

I read somewhere before that they are in the works. Hold tight, hopefully in the next few patches they will be out or at least the chance to change our models.
