  1. I can normally figure out problems I have with DayZ, but this one has me stumped, so I’m asking for some help.

    As the main title says, I can’t connect to any DayZ Epoch Server (or any other Mod server either) and get stuck on the white “Wait for Host” before going to server lobby. It just happened all of the sudden; I was playing on a server and wasn’t paying attention to the server restart warnings and the server stopped (no big deal as it has happened before), but when I tried to log back in, I couldn’t and that’s when the problem started. I posted/ e-mailed a few admins of the servers I play on and they all stated I was never entered into the server report logs as trying to enter the game.

    Things I’ve done before writing this post:

    Let the game stay in “wait for host” for an hour just to make sure it wasn’t a time related loading issue.
    Deleted all mods and re-installed them;
    Deleted the game and DLC’s through steam and reinstalled them;
    Ensured all the correct expansions were enabled when trying to play a mod;
    Ensured the correct parameters were set in Dayz Commander (I also tried DayZ Launcher, Survival Launcher, and the Steam Launcher (I don’t use the Steam launcher, but there were no servers listed under A2OA, but had all other game servers listed)

    I have included an excerpt from my client side report in the link below for reference.

    My host is Vilayer and I am running Overpoch Napf.

     

    I don't get stuck at all, the game loads with absolutely no errors pertaining to this (assuming I have access to all the error reporting through Vilayer) and is playable. I have done 3 server restarts and the Logistics L&T has not affected the game or gameplay, other than not showing up in the scroll menu.

     

    I made no edits or changes to anything; just followed the install instructions, which was incredibly easy.

     

    The only thing that was different was in the above, there is a "processLoadingScreen" for the other compiles that I did not include (wasn't sure if I needed to) and I added the //Nightmares... Those are the only 2 things that are different.

     

    I also have infiSTAR AH running, but there seems to be no conflict there either.

     

    I'm not sure if you have experience with Vilayer, but they have most, if not all, of the files unpacked and available for manipulation via the control panel.

     

    Here were the steps in my process

     

    Went to vilayercodecustom -->  missions --> overpoch.napf --> added the logistics folder here --> then went down to the init.sqf in the overpoch.naph --> added the required compile -->saved and restarted the server --> checked for errors in the logs --> went into server to test it --> didn't get an option to lift or tow and couldn't find anything in the scroll menu --> logged out and rechecked for errors.

     

    Both Krusty and I have the same versions of everything, so it could be overpoch related, but I don't know enough to even speculate. 

  3. This is the first L&T script I have installed.

     

    Followed the original post for install and it doesn't work. I have no server errors or reports, the server runs fine and for all intents and purposes your L&T is working, but nothing shows up in the scroll menu.

     

    I'm 99.9% sure the problem is a user error on my part and is probably something small, but we learn through out mistakes.

     

    I have Overpoch Napf on Vilayer, all up to date and below is what I did:

     

    - Unpacked and moved Logistics folder to missions

     

    - Added the appropriate line to init.sqf

     

    - Saved the info

     

    - Restarted the server

     

    - Checked logs for errors (no errors)

     

    - Went in game and saw there was no T&L, verified other players couldn't use T&L

     

    - Checked error logs again, still no errors (that I cold see anyway)

     

    - One player mentioned altering the server_publishVehicle2.sqf, but wasn't sure, so I wrote this post for some assistance.

  4. I've added 3 overpoch traders to my server and most of the weapons into the traders inventory. Everything works great until I try to sell something.

     

    I go in to sell my weapon and its highlighted green as it should be, but when I go to sell it for the first time I get this in-game error:

     

    Script z\addons\dayz_code\actions\'trade_weapons.sqf' not found

     

    Error only shows up the one time, but still can't sell anything afterwards.

     

    It only seems to do it with the 3 added traders, albeit I only checked 2 of the regular Epoch traders and I sold them regular Epoch items.

     

    Checked my server report and nothing, so I thought it might be client side, but I couldn't find anything in the ArmaOA2.RPT either. Not sure if there is somewhere else I should be looking. 

     

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.    

  5. It would have been nice for Vilayer to explain that b4 I deleted my SQL database...It hurt doing that! Easy enough to transfer the files over, but now I can't access the new database and keep getting a denial error!

     

    It seems you have experience with Vilayer, maybe you can help me with a few questions if you don't mind.

     

    My apologies if this is the wrong section or wrong way to ask for assistance, I'm new to the forum.

     

    I keep getting this error when I try to connect to HeidiSQL database: SQL error (1045) in statement #0: access denied for user 'root' @ 'whatever ip I'm using when I try to log in' (using password: YES). Have you had any experience with this?

    I've read through the forum on the HeidiSQL website  and tried a few of their answers, but none of them worked. I submitted a service ticket through Vilayer almost 3 days ago and it seems their customer service is about as useful as tits on a boar cause they haven't taken the time to assist! The database is working because everything stays on after a restart; vehicles, constructed items, etc., and the server is stable (knock on wood) and working properly, for the most part, so I'm not sure why I'm getting this error.

     

    The other question I have is when the overwatch custom loot tables are added, do they supplement the epoch loot tables or do they override them? I have overpoch on the napf map and overwatch loot is spawning, but after I added the custom loot all the additional and enterable buildings that were added to the map in the last few updates don't spawn loot at all. Do I need to create spawn points for all those buildings or did I miss a file or something?
