    Hello all,

    James from Vert here; I'd just like to address a few things here in public.

    1. The servers are run by our staff in their spare time - our clients paid services come first. This means that changes to the servers can take a little while to be made.

    2. A3Epoch is still in its very early stages - there are definitely going to be hickups and bugs along the way as it's far from stable. For example, while updating the servers yesterday, a bug was encountered that would stop the servers from starting correctly if a certain situation was met.

    3. I'd speculate to say that the devs aren't looking to introduce any more servers due to these bugs - they want to spend their time working on improving Epoch, rather than spending all their time addressing small issues with a large number of server owners.

    4. Leading on from this, we have applied a patch to correct traders on the services, as well as reset the database a few days ago under guidance from the Epoch developers.

    5. Finally, it won't be too long now until the public and other communities will be able to run their own servers using the proper server files.

    Hope this clears a few issues up.

    No screens man...was 2 in the morning and i was juat logging out when all started.

    All i can say is that i saw all people dying by 4-5 short dicks with the tag HELL before the name.

    So if u're in a server with that people just log out as soon as u can.

    The BattlEye filters on both Vert servers have been updated (and so far, so good).

    Yeah it hasn't restarted like the past day or more.... There seemed to be a hacker on last night. Tp'd to our base, with an ai companion? Then stole chopper and just flew around for ages...

    It restarts 4PM UTC+12 daily. Hackers are a bit of an issue without any whitelisting system, but there isn't much that can be done about that.

    So there was an Australian server up for the last couple of days, which I found out about last night after having spent a couple of weeks away from the mod due to my ping.

     

    Today it seems to be gone, with my lowest ping on the servers (including unofficial) at 300ms, I guess I'm going back to ArmaII:OA.

     

    Any word on an official Aus server?

    Yep, VERT01 is an official server hosted in Sydney.

    I know of a couple of good communities that have approached to host a server as well as a highly trusted aussie gsp yet we have nothing down here.

    there was a lot of people playing and testing on the two Aussie white listed servers before the shit hit the fan with the script kiddies now we have had nothing to play on since the servers were put into lock down and its a bit frustrating since the mod has a huge following over these ways cheers.

    Check out VERT01 - it's an official server hosted down under (in Sydney) by Vert Hosting, a GSP based in New Zealand.
