    Hey, just wondering how you made out on this? It sounds like a fanatastic Idea.

    Any luck or did you make it so far and give up? If that is the case show me how far you got and I will pick up and carry on and if I get it finished I will show you.

  4. Craftable wood Water trough or Barrel

    Lots of people have suggested water buckets, fillable water in cans etc.

    What about a trough that you can collect rain water.  Maybe have a connected eves trough down to an old style wood resevoriur or a wood crafted barrel.

    Or a cleaned steel fuel barrel.

     

    I find we drink far too much pop in Dayz.

     

    We could use cans melted to bars.  

     

    4 lumber and 2 bars and maybe 1 tank trap kit and you craft a water wood  barrel.

    I know tin would not be used to craft steel bands on a barrel but it is all about role playing.

    Give us more uses for the tin cans.

     

    On that note use the bars to craft the Eves Trough to catch water in a rain.

    Figured it out.

    Wanted to come back to tell you how incase you see the header and want to know.
     

    Setup second Database.

    I called this one,

    Dayz_Epoch_Napf

    import scripts

    Edit Hive.ini of the Napf  in the template

    Change port server launches on.  Launch bat file and then close the mission

    Go into new folder created in root arma folder called instance_24_Napf and copy your hive.ini and your config in.

     

    Modify config to have your settings and Blamo

    Launch and you should be good to go.

     

    Two islands One server.

  10. How do you (read the database) of your server??

    I use PHP MY Admin

    Seeing as this game is the first time I have ever played with SQL, I found WAMP to be awesome tool.

     

    I can go right in and see and edit if I want things, like health, last logged in, equipment, and back packs etc.

    Mind you I am literally just starting out. So the more learned will give you more.  

    But for a start I really find PHPmyAdmin to be awesome.

     

    What is your server OS? Win? Linux? Is the server yours or hosted?

    I am sure those questions need to be answered.

    I use a home Win server that I have total control over.

    yes you can run multiple servers on one machine but you have to create another database and change the port of the second server

    Thanks for the reply Avdieking. 

    Is there any documentation you could point me at for the Database setup?

    I am not really sure how I would get the Second mission to launch and use the second database.

    I know about the port, as I run a heavily modified Arma CO on the standard port.

     

    I am thinking I need to go back and see how the first database got it's PW and login. I remember setting that up.  But I thought it was Epoch wide.

     

    I was hoping I could just use the same Database.

    I read all the docs on installing SQL,  etc, and got a Dingor dedicated server running.

    I have self blood bags, tent heal, tow and lift as well as Sarge and DZAI installed.
    TOTALLY AWESOME.  My buddies and I LOVE IT.

     

    Then I read about the New Island NAPF.

    I fired it up and it crashes

    can some one point me to a place to read about it.

    I don't even know the words to use to search on it.

    I thought in my many readings before getting this up and running I saw a post that indicated multiple island\Maps on one SQL server.
