Hi guys,
i tried this, but then couldn't get into my server, so had to revert to original files.
Seems like a key problems. Are there new keys for the hotfix_1? I don;t see one here: https://dev.withsix.com/projects/all-in-arma/files?sort=created_on%2Cfilename

Redis generates a swap file of that size. In other words, it makes sure it has enough room to use for moving things about and in and out of 'memory' without actually using the real memory on the machine (the ram). It's a little extreme, but nothing you can do about it i don't think.

i could also do with a little help with this:
i finally figured out to set the server so it doesn't use the difficult setting (in description file). But because I messed with my in-game settings, I now cannot fly like I used to. I've tried resetting to default and presets, but I can't make it work. By this, I mean that the cyclic up/down is very difficult to control...not like it used to be. I've changed the rest, but those controls don't seem to want to behave.
What did I break?

Running Arma server(s) on a non Xeon machine will result in memory errors due to non EEC ram
Can you show some proof of that? I've been running my A2 Epoch server on NFO with an i7 (Nahelem) processor for over a year, and have never had that issue.

Check out NFO servers. Rates are great, service is fantastic.....usually answer within minutes.

Yea Vamp, I didn't think there were many options. Ialready moved the server 3000+ miles from east to west coast to help out the reg players a bit more....damned if I'm moving it to Australia :lol:

As the title says. I'm wondering if it's even possible.
My server is west coast. i have a few players in the clan in Australia etc, and they'd like to play with us (obviously), but their ping is too high and they get kicked. Now, I don't want to raise the ping ceiling too high, otherwise I'll have people from all over joining and I'll get complaints of hacking because ppl can't kill them first shot etc, apart form the usual desync complaints.
So, anyone know if there is some way to let them play?

I discovered a little application to do just this sort of thing quite a few years ago, just because of a game. It worked then too :D

As per the title, how can this be done? I have a lot of older AL and DZ vehicles/items on the server....and now DZE as well. Traders do not want to buy DZE vehicles.
How can this be fixed?

google for a keyboard layout or keychanger. Make other keys do the pg up/pg dn thing.

I just installed this. Very simple, very clean. Opened up the files etc, and love the way they are explained within them. Thanks for putting the time in to make this so nice. Works flawlessly first time.

Ok, I said flawlessly...and it is. Only a couple of things might be better so far....making the AI aware of choppers so the attempt to shoot them down. And also, I think the choppers that spawn in are DZ versions, instead of DZE. I assume I can change that to DZE versions in the DZMSConfig? Same for the humwv?

Ok, NM. Seems they bought those vehicles before the update, and now the vehicles are _DZE in the DB, so traders won't buy them.

Hey all,
Can't find a topic on this anywhere.
My clients are telling me that they can buy a vehicle, but when they go to sell it back to trader, trader won't buy it. Vehicle is fully repaired.
Any ideas?

I have 1.0.4.2 installed and running well enough...but dayzcommander shows I'm still running 1.0.3.1. what gives? where do i look to rectify that?

Ok, I of course ran into all these issues - safes, cars, traders. Fixed the traders, but still having issues with safes and vehicles unlocking. Can get the 'unlock safe', put in code, then...nothing.
Checked fn_selfActions, and compared it to my customs one...ok, problems. Made a 'merged' file of both. did same with compiles.sqf.
Now, before I go putting them back...where do these 2 files go back to. Do they have to be in the custom folder, or an they go back to their original locations?
Right now I have the custom fn_selfActions.sqf in my custom folder, and the compiles.sqf back in the dayz_code.pbo

Thanks for this Face. Just installed it, worked flawlessly out of the box for 'area' spawning around my character. I'll check other things when I do some config work :)
