so true had guy called basem go off at us when they were lotting a city 500m from a spawn, if your carrying a weapon even be it a axe no matter where, you are you are a threat and expect to be treated as such.
we'll other night me & few others had no weapons & were fresh spawns... & few of us were dead leaving zone AKA spawn camping. so really how do you explain that? IT IS STILL AGIANST RULES TO SPAWN CAMP A TRADER/PORTER SIMPLE AS THAT.
Devs have said it before its not aloud & keys will be taken away & banned off Epoch for good.

what was installed was DZAI& couple tools/fixes Error log is fairly big & any help woul greatly help could even give access to files to fix it up . like hubby said were bit in desprate need to fix this atm.

anyone got a idea how to make a Key which you can right click that spawns vehicles? i know i'v seen it so wondering if anyone can shoot me to right area. kinda like toolbox but makes new item using same Key Blue #### that you can right click to say spawn 5-9 diff vehicles that can be repacked into key

because axle comes into the various servers regularly and announces it in chat... and if you read this thread instead of just jumping on the troll wagon, others have confirmed it as well.... and cippy , ya YOU may have been 300 m out but we werent even 100 m away yet... no sooner than stepping out of the trader area we're engaged AND THAT IS AGAINST THE RULES.... i dont give a flying fuck if you do it again or not cippy... just be aware that you do risk losing your whitelisting and thats straight from the devs... period.
issue with that is they probly dont care to enforce it & will realise it will just hurt their little mod more then they think. it was a issue back in Arma2 Testing with people finding locations to Camp.
only diff now is the devs have 0 reason to check combat Kill logs for PVP enless they are dumb enuff to not add this that is easy to add.
agian how are you sopost test when this happens & as soon as your out of trader you are shot dead like from 300M+ with no way of knowing repeatly. & like few said it's not allowed even Seq has said on stream it's forbiden & will have your WhiteList revoked for good. & it's still happening i see. so it just removes chance to test from servers.

i believe its why im done trying to test few times i loaded in other day & ported i was dead apon loading repeatly.
& to nay sayers its happening & it's pretty BS its why i nolonger Support the Mod. if it encourges Hardcore spawn camping i hope it gets bad publicy. they are abusing a location to Cause people rage quit & im not only one theres few people who also did same. why bother when you have people Spawn Camp farming ? you dont so if its allowed goodluck if you want proof check logs. enless devs are dumb enuff not have Combat logs for PVP then that's a big fail.
since i dont have option but one server rest give me issues & nonstop kicks it's a waste to log in to actully test. now if it was me being killed few hundred meters out. i'd be fine but spawning then porting & being shot dead in 3-5 seconds is Total BS

specifly we wanna add the Female Skins to our Overpoch or Overwatch/Epoch server & wonder if anyone know's how to do this & could post a way to or area that has it i'v googled with no luck yet there are server's out their using Overwatch/epoch & Origins Skins added in. so hoping someone can lead me in right direction

your only issue is alot will quit. & move to more better servers
like some say make a Dayz mod Hive not epoch your thread is pointless cause for one. your using Epoch...
people now go for heavy scripted servers that have everything be it hard to unlock or not.
what people forget is your idea alrdy exist its called Offical hives & everyone pretty much 99% who play epoch/overwatch would rather play elsewhere.
so way i see it. enless you want a very very small playerbase. that probly will never increase. & hopefully it's not players who pay for server or your fairly doomed.
i'v seen servers do this & die month after cause everyone left.
i do say gl though. cause last server that did this removed Jets/heli/tank/apc died & they had roughly a full 50/50 server x2 & ended up shutting down after everyone but like 4-5 left for better servers.

I like vilayer.
as above poster they run their PBO's unpacked way you can edit on the go. & when you start server it packs them into a PBO for server to use hence the more time to restart.
It's honestly best way i have seen a server let you script.
oh ya FileZila is a must use program for vilayer. you can drag entire server out & edit on desktop.
but just FYI only add scripts 1 by 1 way you know what fucked up.

ya we'v tried & honestly it's to point we give up. there are scripts but seems the people do not care to share & hide it. so we pretty much leave the tread enless someone skilled has a idea of what to do. seems be more then fn_DmgHandler

Were Looking for one as we'll we have half server done. but person we rented from on a Dedibox wanted waste time & didnt feel need wait 2 weeks for few things be added.
So were back to looking for a Dedicated scripter. Who's Wanting be apart of the server & Community. while still doing what he enjoys. we are building a PVE Community with A wide aray of AI. i'm pretty much the base builder while hubby is more of website guy.
but as poster said you have alot of choices

were just as confused i know 2 servers with it and it seems to be dmg handler in my other post but currently it does not work so were stuck on this to move forword on rest scipts

I never played on a PVE server, yet administer one - but here's an idea for you:
if you don't mind getting your scripting hands dirty, perhaps you could automated the system so that every time a player kills another gets punished.
punishment could be a variety of things such as automatic kick from server + bank account reduction + humanity reduction and so on.
perhaps there are better tools out there to do this but if there's nothing yet, you could use the stuff I use for killboard - it basically continously parses the RPT log file [this way it will be aware when x kills y] and then you can run custom commands on that [such as activate dart tool > issue a kick command + run a sql query to reduce bank account/humanity + or remove a random item from his inventory [this could get bad].
we'd do it this way but we dont want it that way as there are scripts without that where nomatter what dmg never goes thru it just passes thru them & thats what we are after. not the one's that actully dmg guy back we strickly wanna turn it off.

were trying to turn PVP off as were runing a PVE server. so i was wondering if anyone can move us in right area.
were looking turn it off we know its been done. just seems no one really has released it & wonder if anyone has figured out how.

bump for my husband. were still looking.
this is meant to find someone longterm. were just stuck finding someone Exp in scripts. not just installing but making. who has a general idea of them etc.
My job is Base building as this what i am good at doing i have built some areas..that i never released & kind of wish i did.
husband i know would be helping you & dealing with website on site etc.
we have an idea of what were after it's just now finding the exact person who is dedicated.

I don't think it would increase. Without access to file = no custom antihack, or other tools that can help administrators do their job. And seriously, one of the main reason Epoch is so popular is the variety on servers. And why would a big community go all in with a server they can't customize slightly to reflect their communities style?
While I see some positive things in this approach in the short run, I personally think an extended time with limited hosting access would kill the interest.
Again, we can only embrace it, so I am not going to fuzz any more about it for now :P
kinda this...sadly i alrdy see this going rout of other mods that did same and died out fast. they limited the files or didnt allow people change server and it killed mods off very fast.
me/hubby/others were waiting on a3 now this was just like a slap in face like breaking point pulled and told everyone on their forums to go fuck theirselfs.. i can see a3 epochs just going underground rout & not lasting. thankfully theres still some other mods with same as epoch in Works.
so enless devs plan to add shit tons options youcan off/on switch i dont see it working out very well. thing is the whole scripting made epoch servers & mod more fun. and just downright entertaining i played vanilla awhile. almost no servers exist for it anymore for good reasons. theres not really much into it other then farm town a or b and unload at traders.

nah i use hfb servers. this is what the bf got.
so ya idk. i currently use build snap , dzai and tends missions. then no maint base script. was looking add tow/lift+self bloodbag+auto refuel or possibly refuel/rearm one with no cost. but atm i have had revert back as i keep fucking it up and i know they's 3 get blacklisted by infistar so. its a issue

we fixed it then Someone who we used know named Syco from GamingCorps decided delete our DB thx vilayers Default shit but no issue was plotpoles it seemed and caused all of it & speaking of which hes visiting the thread but nice try we were thankfully reseting DB anyway but hey. Hf thats what happens when you try dragging us out because paypal cant be disputed after 30days we were smarter.
