So I tried a variation of this solution and I seem to be joining servers. Although I'm getting an "authentication timeout" on some servers.

Im having same issue while trying to join Epoch servers. I've removed and reinstalled a dozen times and still no dice.

Thanks Dronetek, nothing on that post helped. Pretty sure I will have to change some router settings but not comfortable doing that. I was hoping maybe someone had done it before and could guide me. Did you wind up getting a second router and connecting both to your internet? I am not sure if my isp (Cox) will allow that.
Do what I did and get a cheap gaming or media router.

Ever since the Gamespy shutdown, I haven't been able to join a DayZ Epoch server. I've gone through all the steps of uninstalling and reinstating. I've also added all the necessary expansions.
Any help anyone can give would be appreciated. -
This helped me. Ultimately, I needed a new router or to use port forwarding.
