  1. Hi guys!

     

    I've been having a problem on my dedicated server for around a week now and have been attempting to figure out the cause! However I am struggling to do so..

     

    The situation is when a player logs out or disconnects there is a chance that they will be tp'd to the coast, with all of their gear. This also occurs for some players on a server restart.

     

    I have no idea what the cause can be, but I know it must be within my server or mission files and not client side. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Hey Guys!

     

    I've recently created a new dedicated server which is up and can be played on. However when trying to set up BEC I end up hitting the message "No Valid response. Trying to reconnect.!" when BEC attempts to connect to the battleye server. As well as this whenever I attempt to connect through RCON to the server I get a similar message of "Could not connect to server!" (this is using EPM Rcon).

     

    I think I am missing something obvious, the RCON password is set in the battleye/beserver.cfg file. If anyone knows what I am missing I would be very grateful for the help :D

     

     

    ------- ISSUE Resolved. Was pointing at the wrong Battleye (pointing at arma2\battleye rather than arma2\instance_1....\battleye)

  3. Hey! We have an active server with an average of around 45 players.

     

    We have now disabled plot poles however we are facing a problem in the essence that we need to delete old objects such as (LIKE '%WOOD') however I have no clue how to identify which objects are inactive.

     

    I don't think this is possible without giving the players a way to update the LastUpdated timestamp - does anyone know how I could go about giving the ability for players to do so to identify that the base is active? Or is the only choice to enable plot poles and use the maintenance + decay system? The problem is that, for example, wooden buildings we have 3,299 wooden objects on the server (500 metal). 

     

    For vehicles it seems to be easy due to the ability to identify the LastUpdated, but for buildings I am stuck on fixing it!

  4. Hey!

     

    Myself and my team of admins are currently thinking of moving our server to a dedicated server. We currently use DayZ.ST for our game server and multiplay for voice com however we are having desync problems daily whenever the server goes above 45/50 players. 

     

    The only issue we are having is finding a good spec list of what our new server will need to choose a package that is right for us. Price isn't really an issue as our donations are above 100 per month so far so we want to reward our users with the best possible performance. 

     

    For example, would this package be suitable for our needs and maybe allow more than one game server to be ran?

     

    Intel Core i5 3570 (3.4+ GHz)

    8Gb (1x8,192Mb DDR3 1333Mhz)

    500Gb SATA3

    100 MBit/s Uplink Port

     

    This is from Vilayer and costs 74.95 euros. Of course this can be changed but if anyone knows of a 'better' dedicated server host please advise :D

    I'm currently having a problem on my server where as a few of my custom load out sets have stopped working (unknown reason). Unfortunately the only backup of the mission.pbo which I have is recent and includes the problem!

     

    As usual the newloadout.sqf is called in the init.sqf of the mission.pbo.

    Any help as to why people only seem to spawn with the default loadout would be greatly appreciated.

  6. Hey!

     

    Just wondering if anyone knows how to reduce the maximum amount of players allowed on a dayz.st game server? The maximum is currently 50 however upon hitting the max (or anything above say, 43) a mass de-sync occurs. Just trying to reduce the maximum players from 50 to around 40.
