[How its made] an epoch server from scratch

RawCore

Question

Hello friends on the internet, :)

my name is Simon and I try to make my own Epoch server. I try now for a month, but no luck.

I've looked at many Tutorials, articles, and users instructions, and they did not help either much.

I have gone through this tutorial many times, but no luck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3vgAWLF-8M)

someone who can give a better description, but also not just a copy of the instalation of dayzepoch.com because I do not really understand it, But if they can explain it better, you are welcome to post it below

Regards

Simon.

If there are any spelling mistakes I regret I'm not so very good at English

P.S i am from Denmark  B)

If you're having that much trouble, you might just want to fork over a few Euros and rent a server from a game server provider. You'll have better hardware and internet connection in a professional datacenter than you will at home. I rent a clan package from Vilayer and it's so easy to manage everything.

http://www.dayz.st

I'm sure I am missing a few

Hey MassAsster.

Thank you!

but I've more or less got it to work. I just have a question,

what should I do to get my server to get out of my network?

I know that I need to port forward, but the Ports •

DayZ server requires the following ports open to UDP network traffic. TCP is not needed.

http://support.dayzmod.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=11

  • port 2302 UDP ArmA2 game network communication.
  • port+1 2303 UDP Gamespy public server reporting.
  • port+3 2305 UDP Voice Over Net transmission.
