Receiving mission file slow

After a reboot, the "Receiving mission file" seems to take forever for the first person on the server. (up to 5 mins)

Can anyone think of any reason for it to take so long?

That's when epoch does all of its streaming of objects from the hive (database) to the server, so the first 5 minutes or so will always be slower while it writes all the objects.

Is there a way to make it go faster? I am sure I have seen other servers that don't take so long.

It shouldn't take that long unless the server is overloaded. How big is your mission file? My server runs on 4 year old hardware with a single PATA disk and only takes about a minute to load the mission the first time.

 Mission file is about 1Mb
