Looking for a certain script/event, unknown name

I once played on a server where, I assume, there was a script where the admin could teleport a player to a certain spot on the map (teleporting not what I'm looking for). The admin would give them an item and mark their position on the map. The player had to make it to a certain spot without getting killed (i.e. Safe Zone). If the player died the item position would automatically be marked. The person who killed them could pick up the item and then be marked themselves....and the game would continue from there. It seemed like something that could easily be turned on and off in a menu.
