Character selection for 1.0.6.1

Hey guys, so i try to change the most easy way to play away from the bandit style and allready did make a lot of changes on this. but to set up the crown on to this i need to support multipe characters, so i did find

this post which was working for 1.0.5.1 and i do wonder if there is any version like this for 1.0.6.1 cause my scripting scrills are not quite good enough for changing this to 1.0.6.1

@Erzengelgames If I remember correct this script is based on linux. Epoch 1.0.6.1  has no linux version at the moment. So there is no way to update it for you at this time. I could be wrong perhaps @seelenapparat knows a bit more or has it working already?

the problem has nothing to do with linux (its not based on that), but with the fact that this script needs a custom hiveext.dll.

there seems to be nobody out there who is capable or willing to make the modifications needed to this .dll for the current version of it.

the rest is just normal sqf and could be arranged to work with 1061 just fine.

my 1051 servers where heavily based on the multicharacter system as I had pve servers with 3 different playstyles (bandit, hero and ranger) but right now, I cannot do this with 1061 anymore.

still a shame 1051 was removed from dzl ;)

so there is no way to get this character selection at the moment ? not even just the function to selcet a character without preview or anything ?

the selection character preview IS the part thats not doable at the moment.

you would need to have a new row in your characterdata table to differentiate between the 3 characters.

and a .dll that can read and write to/from this new row.

this can only be done with the custom .dll.
