The 'zero divisor' error is due to your max vehicles in init.sqf being set higher than there are vehicles defined in dynamic_vehicles.sqf.

 

As for the rest, is that with a default install of EMS or have you made changes?

I dont know, ive made some changes but Dean Reid helped me with most of it. I dont know if WAI and EMS is working together, do they?

Ok so I have this mission system working on Chernarus and Sauerland, however I can't get it working on Panthera. I have followed the exact same steps to install it but no missions show up at all.

 

I did read something somewhere about needing to reduce the area for the safe position because it is a smaller map. I have looked through the various files within the WAI folder to see if I can see what to change but I can't find anything that looks like it's the right thing.

 

Could someone please offer some guidance if you either have it working on Panthera or if you know how I can sort the safe position area out to make it smaller.

If you guys want the whole pbo you can have it also the only other script i have is just a custom loadout script.

Anyone had problems with rubberbanding non-responsive AI?  This was running great on my server for a while.  

 

Can anyone help?  I've tried everything and still have this issue.  I can post video if it's needs more explanation.

Well, for anybody who wants the mission vehicles dont get saved to the database, so the vehicles are deleted after restart, here is my working solution:

 

In every mission (example "convoy.sqf") you have to comment out the following line

Love this script. It adds a lot to the mod.

I've read through most of this thread but I can't find how to enable the Heli Patrols & the Vehicle Patrols. Is it in the init or the cfg?

Also, I was wondering if anyone here had good coordinates for Taviana, including the small islands and more on the west island? I'd like to get the missions away from the sides of mountains and into more interesting places.

You can set this up in the custom_spawns.sqf. Its simply declared there with comments. Just copy one of some block, or un-comment it and configure to your wishes.

My understanding of "commenting out" is the use of 2 // to block out a line of code so it's not detected. I don't see where it's commented out.

Example:

There are a few ways to get the coordinates you want, I have direct access to my database, so I position my player where I want the patrol to be centered - access my gear (this forces the DB to update the player location) and copy the coordinates from the character_data table Worldspace field. For example, [80,[4525.3335,10292.299,0.416]]. Then you need the numbers after the second [  i.e. 4525.3335,10292.299

 

Then paste those coordinates in the helipatrol location.

What I'm mostly interested in is getting the AI missions to sometimes spawn at say, Knin island on Taviana map. Do I place the coordinates in the actual mission files?

Could you post an example of yours?

BTW, what is this /*? Is this what commentes out the code?

Hey Hux.

 

First the easy Questions: the /* and */ are long form comments for commenting out whole blocks of script, whereas the // just comments out the information after the // on that line.  Also, WAI currently only has Heli's and Vehicle Patrols during missions, or static spawns unlike other missions systems.  Hopefully in the future we can get a feature like DZAI's in WAI becuase it would streamline a lot of stuff.   Until then you can add static spawns like was said above.

 

Now the more difficult one,

1. Yes Static spawns are in addition to the missions that already spawn.  Everytime your server starts it will spawn all of the stuff located in the customspawns.sqf and staticammoboxes.sqf

2. If you want to change coords to the missions There are three ways.  The way that the guys i listed above do it, which requires changing every mission (in reality adding the location array to every mission), or the theoretical way DZMS does it, where you would list all of your static coords in say, the missioncfg.sqf and then call a random entry from that array for the location.  I say theoretical becuase I am sure it could be done, but I'm just not that good. Way three would be to try  changing the BIS_fnc_findSafePos information in each mission. Check out this thread I have never used Tavinia but it seems like this is a pretty common issue with it.

Hello everyone, I am working on my first custom mission and am having some difficulties with boxes being destroyed or not deleting. The AI were blowing up the crates at the mission so I attempted to use the "addEventHandler ["HandleDamage", {false}]" function to god-mode them.  Then they would not delete, so I went back and added the "true" statement to them before the script went to delete them.  As of now the script will delete the _box item but not the _box2 item.

 

On a side note how hard would it be to port over DZMS's functions to wait for all AI to be killed before triggering the mission as over?  In this mission it would be useful to have the players kill all of the final AI before the big crate parachutes in.

 

WAI is by far my favorite system, and really could be a one system install for servers.  If one was able to take the dynamic patrols, launchers, and dynamic spawning AI of DZAI, the multiple simultaneous missions, static position option, and exclusion zones from DZMS and combine them with WAI's unique features it would be amazing.

 

Full mission .sqf is below, anyone can feel free to use it. Hopefully someone can spot why the crate won't disappear.

My next step once this is sorted is to figure out how to have a C130 fly over the mission as the crate paradrops, figure out how to paradrop AI vehicle spawns, and figure out how to set custom waypoints for AI patrols.

if anyone can help me when ever i add this to my server i get black screened and it just counts to 120 then kicks us back to the lobby i think its because i use vilayer but im not sure

You can set this up in the custom_spawns.sqf. Its simply declared there with comments. Just copy one of some block, or un-comment it and configure to your wishes.

Ok, instead of activating Or Uncommenting the heli patrol spawn I decided to uncomment the Custom group spawns.

This is how it looks:

I've been running my server for quiet a while and gone through 4 or 5 missions so far but none have appeared on Knin island. Could it take a while before it appears or does it look like I did it wrong?
