Will Epoch 1.0.6.1 work on MariaDB

I'm looking to move an Epoch 1.0.6.1 server to a Win server 2012 R2 dedicated server that already has a Life is Feutal server running on it using MariaDB.

1. Will Epoch 1.0.6.1 work on MariaDB and are there any special instructions to make it work?

2. Does anyone out there have experience using MariaDB with Epoch 1.0.6.1?

Aren't mariaDB and Mysql the same thing essentially. I'm not entirely sure it would work 100 percent, but you can try using the MySQL settings in HiveExt.ini
