When player dies, kill message appears twice and spawn in worldspace

Hi,

 

I've recently tried to edit the spawn select mod and everytime a player dies, I get the message displayed twice      Bob was Killed     Bob was killed.

When the player respawns the spawn select isn't there and I spawn into worldspace with the same items as when I died and 2 of my old bodies on the floor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update infistar to the latest and then search the files for any instance of spawn player_death and change it to call player_death

Also make sure the call for ESS is above the call for Infistar in server_monitor.sqf. 

You also have errors in your deploy script and map addons  which you should fix.

i have the same issue,, without infistar, without essv3,,,, cuz i dont have a server with players.. never look deep inside this issue.. but take as reference.. that my server spawns is in default, without infistar, without essv3, and i have disable the antihack.

It's to do with the way death is handled. 

In 1061 it was changed somehow.  Any suicide script or a script that causes you to die may create the double death.  Hence why you edit it to call the player death file rather than spawn it. 

Don't ask me the technicalities as I have no idea,  but that is  the principle.

Only search the infistar files. Ah and at.sqf. 

They may have fixed it with the latest one, I haven't used it so don't know, but in the last release there were still several instances of spawn player_death. The suicide option was one.

Epoch 1.0.6.1 with infiSTAR and ESSV3 ........... no such issues.

Player dies, just one message, player get the spawn selection (not closer than 3 clicks to his corpse), he spawn where he should and with the common startgear.

I changed nothing in infiSTAR files.

Could anyone help me with the server files please? I've tried all the above and can't seem to find what i'm looking for.. Is there 2 lots of spawn things setup and clashing maybe? My whole server is down while I can't sort as no-one can spawn in, it takes them to no mans land :(

What version of infiSTAR have you installed? Mine is v1438

i only have this suicide script: nothing more who are calling player_death.sqf

Hi mate, thanks so much for your reply. This call is already in the file...  I have disabled my suicide script from the mission init.sqf by commenting it out with // but again this issue still arises. The double death messages and I'm still respawning in worldspace with the gear I just died with and see my 2 bodies on the floor with the same gear

@ebayShopper  making some other tests.. i saw if i set in a custom configvariables.sqf this values.. its drop me a loop(almost 10msgs) of death msgs.

(without infistart-without suicide script)
