Thug Posted April 15, 2017 Report Share Posted April 15, 2017 Need a little help. I am getting a dedicated server box to run Arma 2 and 3 on and I have to buy an OP for it. I dont know which one I need to get e.g. window server 2008, 2012 or 2016.. Also what version e.g. Standard, Essentials or Foundation? icomrade Posted April 16, 2017 Report Share Posted April 16, 2017 Server 2016 works A-Okay for me. Server 2016 has been in production for almost a year by now, no issues. There's probably no difference that makes any difference to game hosting between editions of the server software. 2016 and 2012 are very similar, having run both, just go with 2016 if you can, there's no reason not to.
