106 traders

since 106 the advanced trader mod is now included i have been trying to modify the trader files i have found and have had no success. when i make changes to the files i think should be correct nothing happens. nothing breaks upon making changes but also nothing happens  ie.. items i have added are not available at the traders...  

the files i am modifying are the HPP files found in this location:

dayz_code/Configs/CfgServerTrader/Category/

You need to move the files mission side and reprint the calls for them.  They will work with your changes then.  I did the same thing

what all files will need to be moved... other than the hpp files from the category folder..

seems like alot of work to just add full and half cinder block walls and metal floors to the wholesaler..... i will have to dig in i guess

do not be lazy,,, it also was a lot of work to me just write the guide only to help others

you only need it:

MAKE CUSTOM TRADERS ITEMS/PRICES

1-Open your server_Traders.sqf  located in Mpmissions\instance_chernarus_11\

change your line by this:

#include "custom\CfgServerTrader\chernarus11.sqf"

2-Open your description.ext located in Mpmissions\instance_chernarus_11\

find "CfgServerTrader.hpp"  and Change your line by this:

#include "custom\CfgServerTrader\CfgServerTrader.hpp"

3-Open \@DayZ_Epoch\addons\dayz_code\Configs\  

and Drop "CfgServerTrader" folder into  Mpmissions\instance_chernarus_11\custom\

4-Open \@DayZ_Epoch\addons\dayz_code\system\mission\server_traders\

And Drop chernarus11.sqf into custom\CfgServerTrader\

5-  into : \MPMissions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus\custom\CfgServerTrader\Category\ 

you will see a lot of .hpp files.. modify from here your prices and items to sell and bought.

i hear ya man.... i am not trying to be lazy.. just confused as to why we cannot just change this server side. my last server had all custom traders

i will figure it out..  thanks for the advice

It's because it is in dayz_code not in dayz_server.  dayz_code is run on the client side as well so each player would need your custom dayz_code file to work properly.

you cannot change it cuz the CfgServerTrader its located in @Dayz_Epoch.  every file into this folder do not suffer efect... every time u need a file from here.. like variables.sqf, configvariables.sqf  compiles.sqf fn_selfactions.sqf you need drop out of here and change the paths...

you can paste it into dayz_server.pbo or in mpmissions
