How can add custom logo to trader city signs?

I have trader city signs around my traders and i want to put a logo / picture onto them. Can anyone tell me how i do this or point me in the direction of a thread that has already covered it?

 

Really just need to know what size and format the picture / logo should be.

I get that but when i add a image and log in it comes up saying its not the right dimension and says something about 2^.

It must be 512x256

use a jpg its smaller (file size) and you dont have to convert anything.

 

as far is i know you only can use following dimensions: 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024 or 2048x2048

Make an image 2048x1024 then use a tool like irfanview to resize square as per SchwEdes post above, in irfanview you can compress a jpg down to around 40% before any visible noise.
