Installing Epoch on Vilayer server require download of vanilla DayZ?

Hi. I just setup a server at Vilayer, and when I installed Epoch, it told me that I had to remove Dayz Chernarus - so I did. Epoch apparently got installed, but now when I try to access my server in Dayz Launcher, it wants me to download part of the DayZ vanilla mod (~418MB). If I do that, I can start the game, but Epoch does not load, just standard DayZ, and I recieve an error "You cannot play/edit this mission..."

Any clue to what I'm doing wrong here?

Install both to be on the safe side and use these launch parameters in Dayz Launcher -mod=@Dayz_Epoch1051;

 

I tried your suggestion, and the initial load screen says "DayZ Epoch", but I get enother error, "Picture z\addons\dayz_code\gui\mod.paa not found", and then I get sent to the main menu, where I can select options, player profile etc. I also noticed that in Dayz Launcher, my server says "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx | DayZ" instead of "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx | DayZ Epoch" - so apparently, Vilayer isn't loading the mod at all? I have tried to modify the server start settings in the Server Manager page, setting mod to "@DayZ_Epoch1051" without "", but that doesn't seem to make any difference :(

I don't seem to see any errors with the server so it has to be on your side I assume.

-mod=@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZEpochServer;@DayZ_Epoch1051

Because this tells  me your server is launching the required addons. It has to be something with your files. Uninstall Epoch, then reinstall it. Also, try connecting to another epoch server and see if that works.

Now, this is strange... I tried restarting it once again, and somehow it seems to work. Well, at least I can get into the game (and yes, it is Epoch), and Launcher says Epoch too now. I have no idea what just happened, because I haven't changed anything since my last post, except from restarting. But I did that before, too... Well, thank you for your quick replies, guys :)

Why are you telling the server to start Epoch twice?

 

If you are only running Epoch, you only need the command line to be : 

@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZ_Epoch_Server;

I noticed that as well. It seems a little strange, but vilayer has a custom file layout so I guess that's why.
