Cant get into server, game crashes with _cur_mp.pbo error

"Cannot open file C:\User\User\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\tmp\_cur_mp.pbo"

 

When I join the server the game crashes and displays this in a little error window.

 

Yes, I went to that directory, but the problem is the tmp DOESNT exist.

Yes I have hidden folders displaying, thats how I got to the appdata folder.

 

Any ideas?

Problems: Corrupt overwatch data = fixed through dayz commander, awkward random crash with no logs = fixed through running serverexe as admin

• Open Steam
• Right click Arma 2 OA
• Go to properties
• local files
• then verify integrity of game cache

I tried that, I probably should re-install..

 

But I am positive a reinstall wont fix anything related to appdata.

 

Uhhhggg, I actually never had this problem until I got the server going, It may be a server or client issue.

Delete everything inside C:\Users\Killian\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\ and re-try.

Did that, apparently there is nothing in there.

 

But I re-did everything, installed sheeps custom pack as well.

 

Now I can get into the server, but then the server crashes when the game started message comes up. AND i dont know where to find the logs because they're not anywhere in my arma 2 directory

Server RPT log is : Your Server Root\instance_??_????\arma2oaserver.RPT

Client RPT is  : C:\Users\yourcomputername\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\arma2oa.rpt

 

Check both of them, post them to pastebin (or similar) then post the links for them here.

Actually, please tell us EXACTLY what you are trying to do.

 

Are you setting up a server on the same machine you are going to be playing on?

Are you setting up a server on a totally different machine?

Home server?

Hosted server?

Dedicated server?

I am trying to setup the server on the same machine I play on, I never had this problem in the past with my other laptop.

Its a home server.

 

I get no error rpt logs or anything just this

 

 

EDIT: I ran server as admin and now getting an RPT.. Will post results once it crashes again

 

 

EDIT: I guess its fixed? Changing the arma2oaserver.exe to run as admin in compatibility tab in properties fixed it. I just have to get the database running and its going.
