Kensai,

  For Troubleshooting, turn off Battleye. Once you get things working, turn it back on.

 

Your file structure should be something like this.

 

\mpmissions\epoch.Altis\HC  <-- this is the 'client' side portion of FuMS, from the installation.

\mpmissions\epoch.Altis\description.ext

\mpmissions\epoch.Altis\mission.sqfm

\mpmissions\epoch.Altis\init.sqf

 

in the the above init.sqf you should have this.

// this is ran by all players, HC's, and the server.

On the Server side:

 

\@EpochHave\addons\FuMS.pbo

 

 

Again, no files get installed ON your HC. It acts just like a player.  When it connects the server will identify it as an HC, then through FuMS, pass it all the HC specific scripting.

So I ran this with A3EAI, and can't get the missions to launch, HC_HAL together with HC are connecting fine, but no missions spawn.

 

I'm suspecting it might be due to my mission.sqm edit (I put HC_HAL alongside HC on item 100). Like this:

Try adding it to 0 instead of 100.

 

This worked for me.

Hey! Thank you for you great support and your script!

 

One more question: How can we add other MOD weapons like MAS?

 

We defined a new Weapon group in BaseLoot.sqf and called it in GlobalLootData.sqf. It works with "normal" weapons like L85A2 pink... but if we add the MAS weapons, the weapon slot in the loot container is empty and an error message is shown.. x.paa not found or sth. like this....

 

Can you help here? Can we add the mas weapons somewhere?

Tobias,

Other than changing the theme data to '2's, what are you doing to control HC functionality?

Basically I've just removed the test mission in the config downloaded from the github, and changed everything from -1 to 2, everything else is running default settings for the moment. FuMS seems to load on both the client and server (judging by the RPT's) but no missions are loading and the players aren't experiencing anything. Did I miss something?

(it is worth noting that we are running A3EAI with HC alongside of FuMS)

At the moment it's easier to make FuMS use the 1st connecting HC and delay launching the 2nd HC for A3EAI by 1 minute in your server restart script to ensure that the FuMS one always connects first.

 

I actually managed to get FuMS and A3EAI both working on the same HC last night and seemed to be working okay.

Finally got FuMS working yesterday with my HC. The players on my server love it, as do I.

 

I do have a question though. Right now the server is spawning 2 missions for each Theme I have active. This is fine for the most part, but the missions with the "zombies" in the towns and hostile AI cause quite a bit of FPS loss for clients. How can I restrict this one mission to only spawn 1 instance of it?

It sounds like you have FuMS enabled on your server too. This will cause it to run themes as well as the HC.

 

In your BaseServer.sqf

Also, as a feature request, can you modify the missions so they don't complete based on proximity, but based on all the AI being cleared?

 

Sometimes the AI wander quite far from the mission center point, and a player can clear the mission, but AI will still be in the area.

 

I know how the logic would work, but not how to code it.

  1. Get a count of all AI spawned for that particular mission
  2. Run a loop that checks the number of AI remaining
    1. If AI remain then mission continues until it times out
    2. If no AI remain then mission ends with a Win scenario

Players are complaining about the "false" wins. They'll be looking at the loot crate, or checking bodies around the mission center, then a squad of mission AI that wandered off comes back in and catches them off guard.

 

I know the WAI system uses this method. Maybe reference that script.

Take a look in the Docs folder on the git hub at the Trigger.txt file.

 

Then check the missions you want to modify.

 

All you need to do is comment out the 'proximity' triggers, and set the BodyCount, or LowUnitCount triggers to meet exactly what you are looking for.

 

All the theme's I build by default, typically pass 'WIN' when there is 1 or fewer AI left...:) If after looking at the above, it still seems a little cryptic let me know!

+ Jurassic Theme 

Jurassic Arma Dinosaur pack by Ruppertle now supported.

Theme is an example of Raptor usage and behavior.  Current theme will spawn 3 "Clone Anomalies" missions. Each has random loot scattered about the ground that has been collected by the Raptor pack that patrols the area.

 

Beware, these guys are fast and nasty.  They will knock you to the ground and start to eat your heart out. You better hope your buddies are quick on the trigger and have good aim! :)

+ Added Air to Air capability for AI.

Added ability to added anti-air weapons to AI, similar to 'anti-tank'.  Use the same field in the SoldierData.sqf with one of the 
following settings:
