This mod is weak

Great feedback I guess. But it seems most of you have forgotten that we are only 25% into the Alpha and haven't even hit beta yet.

 

So stay tuned!

 

I'd have to say its the best damn 25% finished Alpha ever... You've managed to get all these people riled up, who play shit tons of hours in the game (myself included), and the game isn't close to being finished ;) I seriously cant remember a game ever doing that before...

Through building and cinder walls though, a full on glitch, that hardly makes anything better

I meant blowing a ceiling (if there is one) and lowering down a vehicle for personal to get out loot up, store loot in vehicle and be lifted out.  No glitching would be involved in that case.

Is metal or concrete floors far away? I always thought of metal floors as unrealistic but metal supports and concrete floors made out of a heap of mortar would be realistic and far stronger.

  1. Metal foundations needed (can vary with sizes compared to other foundations as will be cheaper to build)
  2. Concrete foundations need improvements and more features as mentioned before
  3. Wood foundations needed (weaker than mortar and metal foundation but faster to gather) 
  4. New flooring needed other than just wood (I believe it's on the list)
  5. Building into the ground needed (Invent a shovel to dig into the ground before placing a wall/floor = physics still there and more realistic).
  6. Underground/Basement WOULD BE FU***C*KKIIII AWESOMEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
  7. More types of stairs required for different sizes etc (Ladders included)
  8. Option to "Blend" or "Join" buildables with existing objects such as door frames etc.
  9. Half and Quarters wood walls, floors etc (like in arma 2 but i believe you have that planned).
  10. Rethink the multigun and decide if it's really worth having a gun fixing cars... and playing god with revivals :D
  11. Since you're adding a lot of AIs, why not few models of zombies while you're at it. Many of us love the zombie fiction and would like to see some SMART ones spawning along with your other AIs (or is that a copyright issue with DayZ ? )

Just few ideas that I thought of while reading this post. Devs are doing a great job and I'm sure that when they finally make a new changelog, our jaws will drop ; D

Just has the title says everything is weak and fragile....

 

You can die from a floor or wall, Instant death, not like A2 bleed for ages u can bandage take painkillers antibiotics and bloodbags, I know this is the game and not the mod but surely you can up the HP of players a little and maybe make the walls/floors a ghost when placing them.

 

Get tagged by a shitty gun, dead! weak as hell this game fed up of dying from shitty glitches and bugs!! 

 

Oh lets introduce a multigun, instead of taking time to create more vehicle repair parts, bandages and other medicals, lazy if you ask me this game is far from a survival game. Most people are treating it like wasteland.

 

I've spent hours building my base for a guy with explosives to bring it to the ground with a few satchels. Weak bases no point in even maintaining it because it will still come down with a few satchels again....maintenance is pointless doesn't fix anything just stops it from disappearing, Remove explosives or make them super rare!

Before people moan at me and say its a game just rebuild a new base, I've been playing since closed alpha and had about 5-6 different bases and this mod is shit, I can remember when epoch for A2 came out i was well excited and enjoying it and that was before modular building came out. 

 

Physics are poor as hell too, they don't even work, they like half work, you can still build floating bases, walls and floors are poor at snapping into place and are always jumping and moving around.

 

Epoch developers need to fully release there files IMO were would they even be without the community making custom server mods and scripts, oh that's right back on A2 with no snap build or anything just chopping trees and building bases great fun guys great fun! NOT! we need custom server mods that's what makes servers unique and different.

You're retarded. There is already mods, addons, etc. If you know what your doing its very very simple to add whatever you like to the game. Obviously, you're just a big cry baby complaining about a Alpha game. Go back to A2 and jackoff to bitch porn.  I can build no problem and add my own indestrucable bases. So explain to me, why there is no addons.scripts?? The real answer is, you dont code for shit.  So shutup wait for the game to finish, than give your 2 pointless cents.

 

This Mod is Arma 3 not Arma 2 Dayz.  You should google the difference so you understand what your talking about.

I would have to say I repeat the 0.2.5.2 converts to 25% complete a dozen times a day to new players in Teamspeak and side chat so they understand there is sooooooo much more to come in the near future.

 

Thanks alot DEVs for your hard work here and on the MOD.

I'm not sure but it seems the player hitboxes in A3 are oorly designed when compared to A2.

 

I get hit anywhere and I'm dead.

 

Never bleeding, knocked out or a broken leg like in A2.

 

It's like A3 has one hitbox and it's the vital hitbox.. no secondary hitboxes that would wound you.

 

Getting shot in the hand or toe or arm and dead.

 

These things just don't make it desirable to me. There are so many things that are just adding up to detriment it's gameplay.

 

I'm not blaming the Epoch team.. these are all Arma issues.  The Epoch team sure seems to have a lot of little BI issues they have to deal with on top of doing their own work on the mod.

 

BI seems to have cut a lot of corners in A3 in some sort of rush to finish it and the modders have to deal with all the crappy mechanics they didn't refine.
