I dont know if someone allready mentioned this before.. but im gonna go ahead and start this topic anyway.. Well as you proberly know I think the Epoch Dev Team should add in rocket launchers or at least consider it.. I wil give you a short reasons and hope ill get a respons ! Many of you have tried this before: You gather alot of loot within a few hours and get killed by armed choppers/cars with superior firepower hunting unarmed players "for fun" that maybe only having a gun and no support .. Not cool too get hunted by a balckfoot and 3 players armed to the bones.. that just unfiar odds.. its so BS (sry) that you cant find a simple rocket launcher, but you can find alot of flares for the Granat-launcher but you cant find a HE granat too it, that makes no sense at all - I dont know what dev team was smoking when the "planed" out the basic gameplay for this mod, but atleast let me try some out? :D kind regards TheGreatDane ! Suppe Posted December 17, 2014 Report Share Posted December 17, 2014 maybe dont play on a server with armed choppers/cars, which are nonstandard in epoch. and when Rocket Launchers are in epoch, then after 1 day is no more bases ! I like that you can have a chopper thats armed or not, BUT if someone decides too implement the armed version, then they could atleast do the same with rocket launcher, then you have a fair chance.. and regarding too players been hunted by chopper and killed V.S. player shooting down choppers for "fun" karma is a B#¤%.. and would a player really shot down a chopper if he wanted the loot, like most chopper hunting for civilians to get a hold ther loot wich is a piece of cake in a chopper, so if someone shot down a chopper it would be for fun or protection ? i thonk rather use it for proctection, and whos know he might only have 1 shot, and chopper 2000 shots ??? :P hah yea.. Personally i would like leave out rocket launcher from epoch mod it self (if) ther where no armed choppers, cars etc.. but someone decides too "mod" epoch even more, then they should atleast make fiar play.. right or wrong ? DeepFlows Posted December 17, 2014 Report Share Posted December 17, 2014 Good luck with MGT. I messaged him about the need to have counters if you are going to introduce fun stuff like HMG Hunters. Apparently, the counter is mortars (which can also be found.) MGT seems to have a specific vision when it comes to server balance. 100/100 players seem to agree with that vision. TheDanius Posted December 17, 2014 Report Share Posted December 17, 2014 Disagree. Armed Vehicles/Helicopters shouldn't be in Epoch, therefore negating *MOST* of the need for launchers. Launchers will also make base building a futile exercise. However, the times I do wish there were launchers in the game is when I encounter someone who is driving around in a HEMTT just running people over. So frustrating. The really isn't a good way to counter heavy vehicles if they are actively pursuing you. Launchers aren't the answer, but something to consider? Even the HEMTTs, you can shoot out the wheels since they're slower. The hunters are a bit tougher to take out if they're moving quick and there's desync involved, but still possible to wreck them. If you're going to add rocket launchers, then you might as well add in everything else in Arma... Except for the Blackfoot. Are you f*cking kidding me, did they really add the Blackfoot? So no rocket launchers please and no hmg vehicles. I have not encountered a blackffoot yet soo not sure if it's been added. The only issue with hunters is, yesterday I was busy doing a mission killed 9 AI and then out all of a suddon a hunter appears and drives over the rest of the AI straight to the loot. I was gutted as I was not going to get my piece of the pie after I done most of the work. But I waited ! and as soon as they climbed out to get the loot, one hunter wheel gone and two playeres down :) So much fun lol needless to say I got killed due to one of the hunter boys combat logging and jumping back in game whilst my mate and I started to loot bodies etc.:( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
