benlav
I've just started playing this mod. My feedback - during the alpha, is there a need to have a cost associated with ceeating a group? - needing to be physically near to invite a player seems a little pointless. How about a drop down player list. - 4 group slots is too little. 6 for me would be a minimum max number. - an option if possible to have a distance-to-team-member marker would be very helpful. Daniel
Hey benlav, it is a feedback thread but also a place to discuss, so here is what i think : - during the alpha, is there a need to have a cost associated with ceeating a group? where is the problem to get 100 Krypto to create a group? The hexagons gives you a huge advance in combat so i think its leggit to force you to do something for it - needing to be physically near to invite a player seems a little pointless. How about a drop down player list. why its pointless? maybe you should be able to invite someone miles away when u got a radio, that would be cool, but as i said, dont make the game to a better CoD or Battlefield. You want something, then you have to do somethning for it! In this case, run miles to meet your friend to invite him. - 4 group slots is too little. 6 for me would be a minimum max number. when your group is full ( 4 members) the group leader gets the option to buy another two slots for your group. the first additional slots cost 300 then 500 and so on. My group got 10 members now but i dont know if it can become bigger. - an option if possible to have a distance-to-team-member marker would be very helpful. my enlgish is not good enough to understand that. You talking about a marker on your screen, that marks your member of your group? When yes, then u never had a group in epoch, or ? Because thats the reason for creating a group in arma/epoch.... ahhhh i think i got it, u talking about distance in meters.... Dude this is Arma.....Arma is a simulation....you and your friends should be able to communicate correctly so that everyone knows where the other friend is or maybe use the tools arma gives you: ask your friend where he is, he looks at his GPS and gives you his coords and you go on the map, make a waypoint at your friends coords and BÄM you know the distance. or there is a tool called Range-finder, i guess you use it to find the range :D All this lazy mofo´s ;) Let´s discuss Best regards, Daniel Suppe and Saltzman
Nic
Daniel, the max group size is 16 and to put it into perspective, that final slot cost 5000 krypto. I also agree with Daniel on his points. I think benlav's suggestions would make the group system too OP. Daniel

benlav
I have since learned that the group system appears to be permanent, I thought you had to do it every time... so my issues aren't really issues anymore... I was pleasantly surprised when I logged in after a restart and after a few days and my group was still there. Daniel
HFPatzi
(...)maybe you should be able to invite someone miles away when u got a radio,(...) THATS exactly what i thought, while reading the initial post :) I think this will be a great idea. maybe in combination with a gps, so that it is not toooo easy :) Daniel
