When you have a foundation in place, and you have a foundation in hand, you move in either four ways. What will happen is you will see a ghost foundation pop up in place. This will leave enough room between the two foundations to place a floor. The ghost foundation will be at the same elevation and lined up to the first foundation. When you move the foundation icons in which you are controlling overtop of the "snapped ghost" foundation. you will see that the foundation in your hands snapped right into place.
