Yes, you can build a 'Wall with Door'

You can build a wooden door and upgrade it with scrap metal (small) that will be a just the straight wall, then you upgrade again (and this time you dont need any materials) and it will cut a hole in the wall for the door. Now the third time you upgrade you need wood packs and scrap metal (small) that will make the door on the hole that was previously made in the wall.

 

Now for the cinder block walls the first time you place one down its a half wall and you need 4 cinderblocks and 2 buckets of mortar, to upgrade it to a full wall you 2 cinderblocks and 1 bucket of mortar, to make a door on the wall you need 1 scrap metal (lg) (which is 3 scrap metal combined). This should get you off to building wall and making them into doors, as of 0.1.0.3 that is all i know of building doors.

How do people gather enough stuff to make these massive all metal bases, that must take a serious amount of squirrelling.
