Radiation as a ways to limit access to certain areas of Altis

We were thinking, and would it not be a good idea to add radiation to Altis? As in, radiation hot zones that limit access to those areas unless you have something like hazmat-suits or anti-radiation medication (think fallout). Having weapons that use weapons that use radiation, and adding such a variable to the debug-monitor would be pretty cool, it could affect bleeding etc. as well.

Also radiation could work as a ways for servers with lower populations to essentially "lock down" larger areas of the map, for instance having a server-option where you could specify (similar to earthquakes) hot zones with an epicentre where the radiation is at max level. Maybe also model a power plant, or a missile strike site where it is immense, and flying over those areas would affect and cancel out instruments or whatnot.

Gives room for a bunch of gear and paraphernalia:

* Radiation monitor (Geiger meter)

* Radiation patch (basically goes black when exposed for too long)

* Radiation pills (medication for dealing with radiation exposure)

* Radiation injections (essentially some kind of futuristic anti-agent that makes you more resistant to radiation)

* Hazmat-suit (a piece of clothing that protects you from all types of hazardous materials and gasses)

* Radiation ammo (Ammunition with radioactive elements)

This is in Shadow of Wasteland, which is pretty cool, also they turned yellow smoke into tear gas which is freaking awesome.

 

The only thing that didn't make sense was that Altis is full of green energy production, wind turbines, sea turbines, solar panels, so yeah a nuclear power station doesn't make that much sense but maybe a nuclear fallout due to war makes more sense.

Had it on Sauerland... You'd hear that giegercounter sound and start loosing health when in the radiation area.

 

 

Would be interesting but It would be nice to actually take it one step further and have that zone with a wasteland look to it with carcass's of dead animals in the area, tree's and general plant growth dead.  Something that would clearly indicate the area is uninhabitable. 

 

 

Would have to have some sort of loot in that area as well to make it attractive to go into otherwise players will just avoid it.

 

Things like that do make the map have unique areas though so it would be interesting to have regions like that.
