If you guys haven't noticed there Is a new DayZ GUI and I think it looks pretty sick

and I was wondering If you guys are going to use It In Epoch

I would be a fan of simply looking kind of at what Zero did with the UI and focusing on improving visibility.

 

That looks actually more cluttered to me, and you lose more peripheral vision

What mod is that in? It doesnt look like normal dayz as has a lot of non standard items. Looks cool though

thats the new GUI in dayZ vanilla 1.8

No.  Didn't plan on adopting it, much alike other community features.

Seems like every mod has changed it because they can, not necessarily the best route to take in changing a UI.  There have been many other important
pressing issues to deal with recently in terms of balance and functionality.

I thought that was the vanilla 1.8 interface? Will Epoch exclude features from that update?

Would be awesome to intergrate the latest dayz 1.7.7+ code into epoch, so many excellent features and new items! But of course I'm sure their plate is as full as it can get, so hopefully one day soon they can get the vanilla features layered in to Epoch.

Yes, some of the items in the community patch I helped develop; they're definitely headed in their own direction as far as the infection is concerned.  I'm not particularly fond of how the infection actually affects the player and how it rolls out in gameplay.  As it seems to be more of an involved nuisance than an immersive feature; this is primarily due to it's linear side effects...sequential blood loss & an audible cough.   There are ways to create a much more intriguing system related to the infection, but we won't be seeing this any time soon in DayZ-mod.
