0 Turtle II
Don't do it man. Wait untill dayz commander updates and comes out with the patch. You are garanteed to loose players and there is no need to update. I can tell you from experience my server was ranked 60th, filled up every day and my other one was filling to about 30-40 players a day. Once i updated to this patch you are guaranteed to loose population and it is impossible to get new players to find ur server.
0 blacklabel83
Problem is GTX ( yes I know) is giving me no other choice in the matter..... I have 20-30 people on everyday and I do not want to lose my population either... I will fight them long as I can.

If not then i suggest moving servers because they will fuck you over :D
0 blacklabel83
I have emailed other server hosting companies as well (not all) but all of them said they will be forcing servers to the new beta patch as well. The reason I am be given is once 1.0.5.2 is out it is strictly geared towards the 1.63 steam patch.
0 PryMary
With GTX also and no choice but to go onto the Steam Patch. Also they are lying to you. It is not specifically geared to the 1.63 steam patch, there is a init.sqf command to use the old style if you wish.

In 1052 they will have a variable to use the old 9 digit player uid's instead of the long steamID's to avoid players being newly created characters upon update. If that's what you meant haha

If that's what you meant haha yeah but that's technically removing the need for the steam ID altogether so in reality my statement is correct. 0 Incar
I'd say just update, there is no saying DayZ Commander will, and no saying when our servers will just stop working since Gamespy can't get it's shit together apparently. If you have a player base, just inform them all what's going on and yah. See if they'll use DayZ Launcher or something to connect, if not try the batch file Buly released on the GTX forums, it works great, no need to run any program or search lobbies, just direct loading to your servers lobby. http://gtxgaming.co.uk/forum/forum/main-category/dayz-all-in-one/4886-join-server-via-batch-file If your players play other servers and are afraid updating for yours would prevent them from playing them, just have them create a clone directory for arma2 and a2oa, then go into dayz commander settings and override. Then they can play on 1.62 and 1.63 servers each loaded independently. As for me, I'm waiting on GTX to update mine, because it seems nobody bothers with 103718, I get no players, so nothing to worry about losing.
