Updated guide to adding a gem trader

Hey all,

Does anyone have an up to date guide on adding gem traders to a Chernarus map?

Adding a gem trader would be no different then adding a normal trader. You simply change the buy/sell currency they use in the database. Here is a link to a guide for adding traders.

Just remember if you're using gems as currency to update the afile on each vendor item to have the "_old" suffix.

 

i.e. trade_any_vehicle_old, trade_weapons_old, etc.

A change to the currency system was made back in 1.0.4.0, "breaking" custom currencies. A patch was made in 1.0.4.1 to allow non-gold/silver currencies to work again:

Ah ok, interesting, I figured you could use anything as a trade currency, even other items like magazines or w/e. Thanks for the info on that.
