  2. Hi there! A few days ago I logged in just to see my GhostHawk and Little Bird gone. Yet, I can't see any method of stealing them other than parachuting. I thought some of you might help me protect my choppers better. For the GhostHawk I had a 2x3 helipad with removed stairs and walls between the rotors, as for the little bird just one platform with the stairs removed, but no wall in the rotor.
  3. I want to start out by saying I know this is written horribly and im sure a lot of you guys can clean it up and make it a lot better. I made this in a hour or so using an old addon/script I made back when a3 epoch first came out. It was my first script so its very messy but gets the job done. Its a addon you can just drop into your @epochhive\addon so its easy to use. I figured id put it on here in the hopes that someone could use it or even improve on it and make it better for us all. IT IS SET UP FOR BORNHOLM SO MUST EDIT FOR OTHER MAPS So what this does is spawn heli crash sites randomly within a set circular radius. If you want to pick where the crash sites spawn then you can set radius very small or you can set it to 3000m for the crash sites to spawn anywhere. It spawn a crate full of loot next to the heli instead of on the ground like the old dayz spawners. The size of the spawn radius and loot can all be changed and set to your liking. On the github there is a readme that tells you how to install and configure everything. Read that first and if you have any questions then feel free to ask for help on here. Hello ppl, 1-ATD EU Epoch Chernarus AIA Server 2- Arma 3 Build 499277 - Mod Epoch 0.2.5.2 3 - Lifting Cars / Floors 4- Its repeatable 5 My User name is Ngbaka and i play on the ATD EU Epoch Chernarus AIA Server. Since Yesterday i found a bug with 2 of my friends. Every time you try to lift a car or a Wooden Floor using the SlingLoad of a Chopper ( i only try with Chinook ) , after a few seconds maybe less, the roap is cuted so the "object" loaded just fall to the ground. I've asked an admin to test it and he confirmed the bug. ( It's not a weight problem because ive tested in edit mode and see many YouTube videos that could do this ) I've got a video that shows the bug if you need i can uploaded. No idea what could be the problem maybe some realistic / simulation configurations on the server side. Thanks, Ngbaka
  5. just a few bugs noticed today: Helicopters: - Mohawk: - would not let people into the back once the cockpit was full (tested with different pilot/copilot combos) and if you got in the back first, once the cockpit was full you couldnt get out/eject. - silent takeoff - it wouldnt spool up with any noise, or even turn the rotor blades. but once you begin to reduce power, it would spool up. Hummingbird next to it worked fine the whole time. - Hummingbird: Crashed due to pilot losing connection killing passengers, but when he relogged back in, he couldnt be damaged by the fire. Also once we got to the crash after respawn, there was the sound and light of the fire, but there were no visuals, and your character would just keel over dead if you got closeish (no way to know you were getting hurt as you just insta died no painful sounds etc like when you get too close to the campfire) Group Management -Randomly merged groups (seen this reported elsewhere) Disappearing Gear - (as seen reported elsewhere) but this seemed to stop once the number of people on the server dropped off a bit to below 30 or so. Desync? Glitch running, glitch vaulting, glitch sliding.... saw it all. not sure if its a bug or if its just because it only works in another weapon, but the 11 round .45 mag wouldnt go into the .45 pistol even tho the full name of the mag matches the description for the ammo for the pistol? and the silly dogs coming into the traders, spawn/teleport from main trader to the other 3 traders and there are dogs right there at your feet trying to eat you. annoying that you cant kill them due to invincibility. other than that loving it! Tho after about 25hrs of playing and looting, havent yet found an axe to try building... :( maybe one day i'll find one! happydayz
  6. Hey, is anyone having a problem with the CH53 SS Falling though the floor when you crash? It happens to me alot, I can land it but when I hit something and knock the rotor out it falls through the floor :L
  7. Some of my helicopters are going underground when they hit the ground. Typically no explosion or anything it just goes underground and if the player dies if he/she ejects. It doesn't happen to most of them. Specifically this is happening with the new CH53_DZE and a couple extra pook helis I wanted to add. Anybody know why this might be happening? I'm not finding much information on the topic by searching.
  8. How come some vehicles don't have a specified armor rating, such as the Mi-17? https://github.com/vbawol/DayZ-Epoch/blob/Release_1.0.4.2/SQF/dayz_code/Configs/CfgVehicles/AIR/Mi17.hpp If no armor is specified does it default to something? Or is there another file involved for each vehicle?
  9. You know that DayZ feeling when you have been out doing missions for 3 hours and finally coming back to base, flying your black hawk with a SUV in tow, rich and full of gear? Then when you drop the SUV, instead of dropping bellow the heli like it usually does it drops above it. You see that and realize that everything is going to hell in a matter of milliseconds and there is nothing you can do to stop the gravity of the situation. Black Hawk gets hit by the SUV, tossed into nearby trees and explodes, then to make matter worst some jackass hears the commotion and loots whatever survived of your misfortune. The icing on the cake are the admin who refuses to assist you because they decided to go on strike :-/ So, anyone else experienced something similar in DayZ?
