  1. up date the map will be released in few weeks from now alot has been done i have an closed Alpha release (0.0.1) if anyone will like to try it DM me i'll send you the files.

     

    terms of Alpha release (0.0.1).

    1. no file sharing of any of the map files what so ever.

    2. no hosting open servers they most have a password, 

    3. do not edit the files. 

    4. do not use or recycle the files to benefit you or anyone else.

    5. credit must be given to Creators and people have worked on this map/mod.

  2. i don't like gtx had a vm from them I had a really bad experience with them it kept having corrupted operating system there dll files are F up even knowing now they use cracked version of Windows

  3. i am happy to announce the map will be released some point this coming late spring just have been working endlessly on this.. 

    the first release will be with no furniture in buildings as that will push back the time on the release date as there is about 9000 items of furniture to be placed,

    but the map is in a playable able state,  just alot of optimising to be done looking for glitches in building placement roads rocks the list is endless. please hold on just wait till you see the map for your self. 

    i have put in a few land marks from the mod days hope the veterans will have that familiar feeling that most miss.

  4. hello been long time but i'm back better than ever 

     i been making a map for dayz stand alone was ment for a2 but half tools didn't work there for it has been moved to dayz stand alone.

    maybe i mite make a release for arma 3 but that far away yet

    What is Storm Islands?

     

    Storm Island is a dayz map is made up from nufing non-existing places,

    has no ideas taken from real world all made up in my head.

     

    I will be add some famous places from chernarus as I like to keep the old feel to the game

    but at the same time bringing a whole new idea to dayz as its getting a bit old now.

     

    some info on the map

    the map is a 105km square map,

    with vast landscape with mountins to small hills,

    with large caves and lakes.

     

    what it's going to feel like playing on the map

    I'm going to add some creepy sound at night give it an on edge feel,

    so it will feel like someone is always waching you.

     

    what sounds will there be

    click the notes link and play the sound file and see

    what I mean.

     

     what will the loot be like

    same as chernarus as I want to keep the loot the same.

    there will be one big air field, as I want to have more player to player 

    inertaction.

     

     

  5. hello hope you all well i know been long ass time,,  i have been working on dayz SA i have stopped modding for A2 as out dated game now

    i have move my storm islands map to dayz sa.. as the tools are working better and more stuff to work with keep eye out on the forum for the map post in the dayz sa secion i'll post the old may files for a2 as they are not working in dayz sa

    yess because i think this mite be trying to use other team sides and infi-star mite see it as a hack but not had a chance to have a look at it

    all code from here still works fine for arma 2 just put in better order and easyer to find stuff

  8. sorry guys to let you down i can do this no more i haven't got time for it or money and man power i only have on guy helping not even sure he's helping now 

    i will give map file out if some one want to keep this up as long i still have a role in it.. i had a host call gtx i was trying to set up server side of things but they wasted my time and money. end of this project sorry again guys :(

    try this and add file (.sqf) to your arma 2 oa main folder admin_start.sqf past this code in to it then save it load in game hold alt+F11  and this script will run every time you press alt+F11 but this old work if you have admin on the server

    just a heads up need to put that server side not mission infi-star will think players are hacking and turn or anti tp
