    After you disappeared, no one was ever quite the same. Sure, we tried to pretend that everything was ok, but after a while, the forced laughter and the uneasy silence was too much. People started taking their own lives. They sought out Sappers and began charging at them, hugging their armless bodies until they blew up into little pieces. After a while, almost everyone was gone. The world was never the same. Those who remained behind scavenged the world trying to survive, sometimes banding together but mostly wandering the wastelands alone. I don't even know what year it is anymore. God, I'm thirsty.

    This is about life in a base. For player who want to play faraway from cities, in forest or any other place.
    WHATS IN THERE?
    INSTALL IT:

    *ItemShovel - ItemSledge - ItemBook3 are very important in this mod.  Maybe u needs add this in traders .  I have ItemBook3 in my customloadout.

    Note: This work fine whit battleye, but i dont have INFISTAR so dnt know if works on it. maybe anyone can test and make it works on infistar.

    Error in expression is normally a syntax mistake. Look up the command on the BIS Wiki.
    Undefined variables, well just define them, always ! Is good practice and lately Arma has started to insist on it.
    At the top of your code, or at a point in the code where you know it is the first time the engine queries that variable, define it. Even if it is just _myObjectIWillUseLater = objNull; at the start. FSM pissess and moans all the time about this.
    Also, sometime the errors aren't where the log says they are, a missing semi colon can throw a weird error several lines later, always trace back up your code if the error doesn't make sense.
    Then, there are the typos, the ones that you just can't see cos you been staring at the code for too long :)
    In your 'if actionset', I always put the not ! outside of the brackets. If !(_boolVar) then... A habit formed over time.

    Eager, I am not sure you can using this method tho it may be possible. A protective dome may be an easier solution for that. The items added this way would however respawn every restart tho if they were blown up.

    All sorted by re installing both 4 and 32 bit c++ 2010 and 2013 I believe arma is a 32 bit server process so needed the 32 bit c++ to work.

    The variables you put in init.sqf will be the one that take priority. If no variable is set for an option in the init.sqf, then it will set a default option set from the variables.sqf
    So variables.sqf will only select that option if nothing is set in the init.sqf
    So from init.sqf   "DZE_GodModeBase = true"    will activate that options and will skip the  "DZE_GodModeBase = false" from variables.sqf since the option is already written in your init.
    From the variables.sqf you can see this:
    if (isNil "DZE_GodModeBase") then { DZE_GodModeBase = false; }; So this mean, if no option is set from init.sqf, then the default option will be set from the variables.sqf, in this case, to false.
    I suggest you go take a look here for options you can add in your init

    Maca you have done some great stuff .. and sure prob will .continue to do so .. I wish you all could join forces together, but looks as if that bridge burned long ago .. I don't know the story behind all that has happened .just rumor .. and innuendo.. he said she said stuff .. 
    Cant we all just get along .. If I had the skillz to do all you guys do .. my vision for the game .. is a much darker one lol .. more sadistic and evil .. nukes, buildings on fire .. smoke and ash fill the skies ..  half dead mutants wrything hands out .. for a crumb of food . total mayhem .. and you your character .. struggling to survive the clone exterminators .. be they sappers , cultists, ai soldiers etc .. of course much of my vision of what I would like to see .. is most likely not possible within arma 3 .. much is .. many other games yes have gone this route and succeeded..of course these where not multiplayer games such as arma 3 based .. couldn't do such things as crafting  .. not everyone wants a game of .. shooting other players and respawning every to mins .. if I did Id just play cso etc .. that just doesn't seem that much fun .. I like the whole a2/a3 dayz, type thing .. if it hadn't been for Dean Hall .. none of us would be having this conversation ..  its the reason we are all here .. even though it has changed greatly since the early days and weeks of launch of the original mod.. I Just cant stop playing . its becoming the game I always wanted little by little .. in the end .. we all want one thing .. to have fun. If its no longer fun .. the game ends.. we walk away. 

    Im 49 yrs old .. been gaming longer than most that play these have been alive .. I know I am an old fart compared to many on here .. but it supposed to be all about fun .. not a pissing contest, the community of mods, devs,and gamers ..are what make this whole idea great .. free to share, use and modify .. Community !

    Nancy one of the hardest things in any game where there is a character death is for the devs to balance the mechanic(punishment) for death. Make it too easy and it gets boring quicker for some people, make it too hard and others find it a waste of time. Getting it just right for the target audience is what makes a good game. That being said there are many servers out there with many different set ups that can and do make it easier or harder to get around the map. The basic map is just that basic.. it is left that way for people to mod their servers in a way they and the people they want to attract like to play. Adding every city to the spawn selection would really add unnecessary size to the original download. However if someone wanted to they could add them in and you could download their mission files to play on that server.     Putting you in the city can be done but usually it is set from a marker with a radius of several hundred meters so it is easier for the game to find a safe entry spot (i.e. not in the middle of a wall or tree). I haven't tried the above link so I don't know what the options are but you could look for custom spawn with the launcher's search feature.
    It does sound like you need new friends if they take all the loot and don't include you. If it is a pvp server you could always just kill them and take their stuff, of course they may not want to be friends afterwards.
    Everyone has different time constraints on them so things that take time with no reward such as moving to and from the fun stuff. Others like me view that getting there is also part of the challenge. Make it too easy and I don't enjoy it as much. Again this comes to balance and I think the mods have done a good job here with death as they have left it open for us to choose what we would want instead of dictating it. If you want to stay on your current server but would like changes you would need to talk with whoever runs that server. They may like your ideas or they may not but that is really where you would need to start the spawn selection idea.

    Well the easy way would be to edit the init.sqf to change the zombie, vehicle and animal spawn counts. A more detail way for the zombies and vehicles would be to edit the files where they are generated at. And you would still need to edit the init.sqf also. 
    When you open up your init.sqf you'll need to look for these lines
    MaxVehicleLimit = 500; // Default = 50 change this to what you want for vehicle spawns.
    dayz_maxLocalZombies = 30;
    dayz_maxGlobalZombiesInit = 60;  // Change these for changes to max zombies
    dayz_maxZeds = 200;
    dayz_maxAnimals = 5; // Default: 8 And this one for animals.
    DZE_PlayerZed = false; // change this to true to make them have a chance to spawn back in as zombies
    These are all in the files supplied by Eldubya tho I think I may have changed some of the original values.
     
    For the more difficult stuff you'll need to find the files that define the numbers of zombies spawning from buildings and wrecks. ElDubya used these files for the custom loot spawns. (Just realized I have already changed some of these so had to redownload the originals)
    Under the client stuff path is \custom\loot\ and the two files to look at are CfgBuildLoot.hpp and CfgLootPos.hpp and look for lines similar to this

    Change the zombie chance to what you  would like.  I believe 1.0 = 100%
    Change the min or max to numbers you would like that type of vehicle(building) to spawn.
    Next to really make a well planned changed to the vehicles you  may want to edit your dynamic_vehicle.sqf in your server mission files. You can trim down the numbers of each type of vehicle in order to get a better selection of the vehicles that you want.  That will require unpacking and repacking the mission pbo.
    Changing the ai also will require changes to the mission pbo. You can find this in the wai folder under static. the file named groundunit.sqf are the ai in sector B and on the other island. The one called wall.sqf is for the ai on the walls in sector b, the mayor and a couple of other units thrown in there(static machinegun and a heli patrol)
    If you run in to trouble with these just post back and we'll walk thru them a bit more detail if you need.

    Hmm 8 gb sounds way to big they should all be uploaded seperately, and they don't need to be packed into a pbo as far as I know except the dayz_server folder that goes in the addons folder under (well in my case) @Dayz_epoch_server. It may be different with your host tho. I believe they are less than 3gb each and your provider may or may not load them for you. I would ask if they can install the mods if you aren't able to upload that much.

    You are wearing or carrying an item that needs to be paid for to access completely. To get rid of it either pay for the DLC (Down loadable Content) and keep using it or just drop the item.

    Those errors wont stop your server from running tho. I am not sure how Vilayer does their setups so I am going to assume the launch parameters are correct. You should verify it tho. Then you'll need to verify your launch parameters on the client side. Post your client side report too please if you are still having trouble
