Arma its a issue with other mods as well .
Another mod created a new ui to try and combat it

what ? :unsure: You open the description.ext and see the line that says 'Loadscreen' - what could you possibly need more help with ? It falls under the bleeding obvious catergory :lol:

Steps to make a loading screen (sorry, it's tiny, in the little window on the big screen).
 
0] Copy \mpmissions\<yourmap>.pbo to a folder on your drive 
 
1] open the pbo with pbo manager. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16369
 
2] Copy the description.ext to a folder. (Copy & Paste)
 
3]Open it in an editor like notepad, and change this line : loadScreen =  to something like loadScreen = "loadscreentzw.jpg";
 
4] Cut and paste the description.ext back in the pbo 
 
5] Copy and paste your image file into the pbo root
 
6] Close PBO manager, don't give a sh*t about the signature warning.
 
7] Upload the PBO to the server folder
 
8] Start server, succes !
 
Oh, and if you want to enable sidechat, change disableChannels[]={0,1,2,6};  to disableChannels[]={0,2,6};

we at legion have a server hosted in europe and there is no daft rules you survive thats the aim of the mod survive and build trust who you want . admins wont abuse you or favour some players over others

allways alot said about legion yet not one member has been banned from epoch yet we have submitted countless reports to official server admins of people using exploits and glitches . when there are a good 16 from legion on at once on the same server aswell dont get hurt 
 
also would add our ts is open come in and have a listen were a open group 

Im not part of legion, but proof needs to shown to make these claims about them glitching and exploiting. Otherwise it is just banter.

I created this guide as there seems to be some confusion as to how the Epoch Launcher works - Remember the launcher is still in development and improvements where needed will no doubt be added.
 
 
DOWNLOAD THE LAUNCHER
 
 
Go to this page --> http://epochmod.com/download.php
 
Click the Epoch Downloader/Launcher 0.1 link to commence downloading the launcher.
 
 
 
INSTALL THE LAUNCHER
 
 
Locate the file you downloaded - usually in your Downloads folder.
 
Open the archive Epoch_Launcher.zip with an archive program of your choice  -  personally I recommend 7zip as it's open source.
 
Extract the folder to a convenient location
 
In the Epoch_Launcher folder you just exctracted double-click on setup.exe
 
 
A few warning's will pop-up about un-signed software, this is because it's beta. 
 
You are safe to click through these warning's and allow the install to continue.
 
 
Once this is complete create a shortcut to the "Epoch Launcher.application" file located in the Epoch_Launcher directory.
 
Put this shortcut on your Desktop for convenience.
 
 
 
RUNNING EPOCH LAUNCHER 0.1
 
Double-Click the shortcut you just created.
 
You will be presented with this window:
 

 
 
 
 
STEP 1
 
Click on the DOWNLOAD button:
 
 

 
This will start a local torrent download of the client files and store them on your computer, and disconnect from the swarm when it has completed.
 
Once the download has completed and the progress bar will be all GREEN you are good to move on to the next step.
 
 
 
 
STEP 2
 
Click on INSTALL:
 
 

 
This will copy the files downloaded via torrent to your Arma 3 directory.
This step is essential and mainly why I wrote this guide, due to people being excited to get access to the mod and forgetting this crucial step :D
 
 
STEP 3
 
 
You now have 2 options:
Use the 1-Click option to join OFFICIAL SERVERS from the EpochMod.com website  <---- THIS IS RECOMMENDED DUE TO "FAKE" SERVERS APPEARING Click on the PLAY button in the launcher to launch Arma 3 EpochMod:
 
 
After the game loads you can go to the multiplayer menu and use the Filter Option to filter for EpochMod.com servers and type in the name's of the server's on the official list.
 
However it is highly recommended to use the 1-Click connect options on the EpochMod.com Server's Page rather than the in-game browser atm due to the sheer amount of FAKE servers appearing.

Cons: Slow-ish, no protection, little bit skittish, not the most durable.
 
Least favorite: Hatchback (regular not sport)

Pros: Good on gas?
Cons: Looks like a Prius, weak, looks like a Prius, slow, looks like a Prius, gets stuck, looks like a Prius, and most importantly, IT LOOKS LIKE A DAMN PRIUS!!!
 
 
Honestly, I prefer mobility and hidability over speed and brute strength. Don't mind the Hunter during squad play though.

I doubt we will ever be rid of hackers. Some ppl just suck. Hacking makes them feel big. Just one of those things. Just keep reporting them. Do our part.

I am sure most would agree that playing in a group is better than playing solo. Some of us clan leaders have started posting in general. However I do not feel this is a good place for recruitment. Just going to get clan clutter fast. I recommend adding a clan recruitment thread. I know myself and all the other clan/community leaders would greatly appreciate it. Thank you :)

Filter for "EpochMod.com" in Servername

These are the server IPs and World Locations as of 9/12/14. I will update the server info with their names and Epoch Versons plus Lock status when I sort it all out.
 
The easiest way to find these servers is to go to 'Multiplayer' and 'Filter' and type 'epoch' into the 'Mission' Field. All servers listed here should pop up with in 5 min. Another option is to click on the Steam Icon in your task bar and then Select 'Servers'. From there set your game type to ARMA III, then wait a few minutes for all the servers to report, then sort by name and scroll down to 'Epoch'. Some servers are not under the 'Epoch' listing, like the Skaronator server.
