    Hey ElDubya,

    Sorry to bug you again but I have a problem and just can't figure it out. 

    I have tried to install the following on the server:

    DZAI (tried both server side and mission side install)
    WAI 
    ANDRE"S HELI PATROLS
    INFISTAR

    I can not get any of these to work ...

    I have another server with DEFAULT Namalsk files and all four of these scripts work just fine on there.

    HOWEVER when I install any of them on your custom files nothing happens.

    The server will start up I can log in and play but no AI Patrols or WAI missions spawn and without infistar I can't really see what's going on.

    Is there something I'm missing? I know the DZMS you have was installed different than the normal instructions so maybe I need to do something different with these?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

      Sure man, I can do that. Just upload @Winter_Chernarus folder for me, give me username, password, ip and port of the FTP server and I'll take care of the rest.

      Haha, it's pretty basic mate.

      Also, in your startup.bat, make sure it is set up like this : 

      @echo off
      start "arma2" /min arma2oaserver.exe -port=2302 "-config=instance_11_Chernarus_Winter\config.cfg" "-cfg=instance_11_Chernarus_Winter\basic.cfg" "-profiles=instance_11_Chernarus_Winter" -name=instance_11_Chernarus_Winter "-mod=@Chernarus_Winter;@DayZ_Epoch;@DayZ_Epoch_Server;"

      No, I would have to change them all myself anyway. Just make sure you have a look at every file in the download and familiarize yourself with any changes.

      Basically, the changes are :

      The hiveext.ini and config.cfg in the instance_11_Chernarus_Winter folder.

      The chernwin.bikey in the keys folder.

      And the description, init and misson.sqm in the mpmissions folder inside the DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus_Winter folder that are different. Apart from that, it's just a case of having a working Epoch server, making those changes listed above, adding the @Chernarus_Winter map folder, changing your startup batch and you should be good to go.

      You will need to use the mission.sqm that comes with this download or make sure you compare mine to yours and make the changes or the server won't work.

      You'll need to add and overwrite these files to a new, existing vanilla epoch server. From there you can mod it however you like. Just remember to back it up before you make every change. That way you don't have to start from scratch.

      I had to sign the files and make a server bikey for it as well, that is included in the download.

      Hmmmm.... It's not easy to put custom maps in. Everyone that wants to play on the server must also have this map. 

      Do the files you downloaded have accompanying .bisign files?

      Does the whole thing come with a server .bikey?

      If not, you'll have to sign them and make a .bikey yourself.

      If they do, you have to go through your current server files, change EVERY instance of  "instance_11_Chernarus" with "instance_11_Winter_Chernarus". Everywhere. Every single file. 

      If you like, I can download the map and setup a running vanilla Epoch Winter Chernarus server for you, when I get some time. You will have to add ALL the scripts in yourself though.

      I would set those values back to how I had them. Believe me, I had it so you spawned with 3 heatpacks and they wouldn't last very long. Many times players were huddled around a fire until they found a set of warm clothes. 

      There is also a serverside file you need to alter to get rid of time control.

      And to have Namalsk on Cherno and be believable, you really should be running the winter Chernarus map :)

      Apart from that, the cold is affected by this script in the fixes folder : 

      fn_temperatur.sqf

      Have a look at that and play around with it, but I am pretty sure BEFORE adding the time control script, we used to freeze and die.

      Are you still running Joelma's time control, that would be why. Have a look down the bottom of your init. If you see this line : 

          //Joelma's Time Control
          call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "custom\fixes\time_control.sqf";

      You are running it still. It alters time drastically, hence also altering the weather patterns. Remove it and you should be good to go.

      Anything you install serverside MUST go into the custom folder in the server root. Namalsk ALREADY HAS DZAI installed, but if want WAI, install it into the custom folder, add :

      [] ExecVM "custom\WAI\init.sqf";

      to the server_monitor.sqf also inside the custom folder.

      Then you need to open every file inside the WAI folder, and change every single instance of :

      \z\addons\dayz_server to custom. Use notepad++. I just checked my WAI install for Napf, there are 29 instances that would need changing.

      Any time a script you want to install on Namalsk needs a file altered on the server, that fikle will be in the custom folder. If it's not, you need to move a copy of the needed file into the custom folder and change it's path in the custom\init\server_functions.sqf file.

      Hey mate, 

       

      Everything serverside is installed into the custom folder in the server root. DZMS is already installed because I had to manually go to different places and get the co-ords to put missions there. You will have to go through the files of whatever you install serverside and change every instance of "z\addons\dayz_code\etc\etc" to "custom\etc". Search through the existing DZMS files and you'll see what I mean.

      Have you altered anything at all in those files? I have installed it on Cherno, Naph, Takistan and Lingor with no dramas at all.... Just change the mapSize and away we go. I have even altered the helis and the AI skins, still working. 

      Just to be sure, you have all 3 files, yes? 1 in the server.pbo and 2 in the mission.pbo?

      When you first spawn into the map, how many helis do you see in the bottom left corner? There should only be 3, with more spawning in as gametime progresses.

      You could always install infiSTAR (it's only 2 files and a couple lines of code) see if it's all working, then un-install it again :)
