  1. There's more that you have to do than change ports... and renaming Arma2oaserver.exe is irrelevant and unnecessary. I'm at work now but when I get home, I'll look at my various files and let you know all the things you have to change. Mine works flawlessly - both environments are roughly equivalent (except for what is in development) and my BEC messages are slightly different so anyone on the dev server knows that's where they are.... and I have my dev server password protected since I want to control who has access to the dev instance since I may bring it down at a moment's notice if there is an issue.
  2. Thanks for everything through the years! I hear ya about the hosting. We gave up on GTX a long time ago and now rent bare iron and support the entire server from OS on up on our own. Best thing we ever did... and we now host other games besides just DayzEpoch.

  4. I'm thinking of undertaking a new OverPoch server and am debating starting with the latest patched non-beta version of OA. But I hear lots of problems, ranging from issues with the basic epochmod, to many issues with various scripts. One big one that I hear a lot is that the medical boxes are always empty. So has anyone built a new server with this latest Arma2 OA release? If so, how has it worked? Any words of wisdom? Any gotchas? I do like the sound of the latest version with all the fixes they introduced. And ideally I'd love to do this with Epoch v1.0.6 but it doesn't appear on DAYZ Launcher or Commander yet so how would players get the right client files? Besides which, I haven't heard much about the stability of 1.0.6 either way yet. Again any observations from anyone that's done it?
  5. OK, so now I have a new problem. I tried to connect to our server and after the loading screen, I get =Player has been kicked by BattlEye: Corrupted memory #0. Found the few posts out there on the Internet on various forums and read all I could find. So I trimmed my system SSD, defragged my server hard drive (which are all automatic anyway), ran several antivirus programs. Still the same error. So just for the halibut, I tried to connect to several other random epoch servers. Same error on all. So I figure the problem must be on my local PC. I did the same fixes/diagnostics as I did on the server. Still no dice. So I cleared game cache and let it re-verify. Same error. So I did a total system-level uninstall of Arma2 and Arma2OA and then let Steam reinstall fresh. Still no banana. So I even ran the MS memory diagnostic tool. Again no issues but the error still persists. I'm at a total loss at this point. And to boot, the other PCs in the house hang on "attempting to start Battleye service" - but it never starts, even after giving one of the PCs overnight to let Battleye start. I even copied the DLLs over from my PC with the corrupt memory (at least Battleye starts on that one!) and the other PCs still hang on battleye service startup. Any ideas? Anyone?
  6. Well, I'm finally getting back to this. I changed it so it's calling the zombie_generate.zqf in my custom folder. I also set DZE_Mission loot to true since it appears I had missed that.   7. I've noticed that, too. I'm in the process of building out a new server with scripts/mods that I like and those that our players have been asking for. I'm trying to download the latest code for all but about half the links no longer work.

  11. Origins building works but not the staged building like on an "official" origins server. It's a single stage build.
