  1. i am sorry to say that i will not be updating this in the near future ...

    that dosnt necessarily mean that it will stop working right away so you wont be able to use it, however if it does stop working in a future update of epoch, chances are i will not have the time to fix it.

    i have not been playing or doing anything for arma in quite some time now ... but who knows, maybe i will return sometime. ;)

    to all that have yet to change the ts info in the spawn menu ... PLS ffs change it pronto, it is quite annoying for me to explain to so many people that the ts they are occuping is not associated with the server they are playing on!

    looks to me like you have an error in the script, i suggest you check for extra , " or []

How about that: I set all your BE filters, in every TXT there was, got nearly everything running but keep on getting kicked by BE; Thats fun, because i know that i didnt make any mistakes while adding the lines found on your Github Readme (Install); so either i must be too dumb to copy and paste them in the correct line, or as i said, i add Filters to the stuff and the number just keeps on Jumping +1. like i postet it.

    As there are currently only one script running (Status bar, wich works quite well), it just can be the Blackmarkettraders.

    If you go after #39 is in script.txt Line 39 - there isnt even anything i should have put in there wich makes those errors.

    seems to be that he got problems to set an Marker somewhere, but thats about all i get out of that and didnt find any useable solution, else do you think i would make the work to post stuff here to get dumb answers? There is no dumb questions, there are just a bullshit ton of dumb answers lying around everywhere, just like yours.

    Instead of posting even more useless stuff Halvhjearne, how about you help me?   I'm just trying to learn and understand things, so Suppe's answer wasnt the best choice of things, telling me "off" ... If a script aint supported anymore, that should Show on the First page the script is Posted, ain't that right? So people should know when you discard a project, some people wont even bother to look into a script once abandoned, so there might be some true to what i wrote.

    But i see, you never tried something new in life, wich means you never had your problems with anything, probably a boring life.... Master o' Master of all things... Please let it Rain brain for Supporter to finally accept that there are less knowledgable persons than themselves for gods sake.

    tldr.

    wow ... 3 posts on the forum and you already managed to piss off the creators of the scripts you need help with ... good job.

    just to be clear:

    1. the project has not been discarded in any way and the scripts are currently working perfectly fine.
    2. if there was any problems or if i decided not to support the scripts any more, you can rest assured that i will make sure to inform everyone here, exactly as i have done it in the past when problems arrived with updates.
    3. you should be grateful i take the time to do this for free, even tho morons like you do nothing but complaint about stuff you should already know when you are running a server.

    your arrogance however, just ensured that you can forget about any efford from me that would assist you in any way, glhf figuring out how to fix your problem.

  7. Would have been somehwat nice getting this information beforehand... not after setting the server up and get nothing to work anymore :/ Could you edit your first post so that noone else wonders why it isn't working anymore?

    how about you try and use the search option in the top right corner of the forum for starter, this has nothing whatsoever to do with the script not working as this is a battleye kick.

    as a server owner you should already know how to whitelist be kicks if you expect to use battleye (not to mention the fact that the sollution is most likely already in the op, chances are you just fucked it up when you edited the filters).

    do some research before writing a negative comment like this in the thread and be happy someone even took the time to write/release/update this for you and everyone else to use for free.

    the scripts work perfectly fine so dont blame me, suppe or the scripts for your ignorance/stupidity.

    stating they have over 1k arma 3 servers and no issues is beyond a joke!

    the fact that a company like that would even try to deny bugs like this in the game, as if they did not exist (even tho they are well documented in the bugs section and on github), makes me want to puke. 

    not to mention the fact that the problem is not even on their end, so why are they even denying it? ... lol

    Because I get autobanned when joining the test server on my desktop on a periodic basis I would ask that the Dev team take a serious look at the issue and offer some mechanism by which server owners can get assistance troubleshooting the Epoch AH. I prefer it to the 'other' antihack for many reasons including more predictable behavior when running multiple mods.

    the op is obviusly a player and not a server owner, hence the answer.

    besides you could theoreticly just fix/customize "your" copy of the antihack yourself to suit your needs (wichever one you may be using), if you know what you are doing ...

  9. I noticed the other day when spawning into the server and para spawning that if I was given a parachute (instead of a backpack) and used it. I wouldn't spawn back into the air. So the spawning back up into the air has to do with the script adding a backpack and then having you parachute without actually having one on.

    that is incorrect, if you can use a parachute, then you can use halo jump, the problem is anti tp reverting your position when the player is in the air.

    it can be fixed and i provided info on a possible fix for the default antihack, however i think everyone ignores it, most likely cause they dont understand.

    Does anyone have this working with 0.3.4.0?

    I updated from 0.3.3.1 to 0.3.4.0 and mine no longer works...keep getting "Spawn menu aborted", but I can evaluate the expression the script is using in my debug console and it's returning well under 35.

    idk what you are trying to say here as it makes no sense.

    if you get "Spawn menu aborted" that means you where not near the cloneroom when you spawned in.

  10. @Halvhjearne Have you thought of rewriting this with it looping through the vehicles on the map and matching them based on PositionASL + Class?

    Then it wouldn't require any Epoch code edits.

    tbh i dont think its a good idea to have a loop running like that.

    i thought of many ways to make it permanent, but i dont see any good way to do it without modifying the script that loads vehicles from the db a bit.

    i did have a talk with awol at one point about how custom skins could be integrated with epoch, but i think he might have forgot about it. (i did)

  11. it would help you tremendously, if you explained what exactly you are trying to achive here, instead of just saying "it dosnt work".

    that being said, i am guessing your problem is, that you cant lock-on with launchers?

    if thats the case, then this has been addressed several times before and you have just been too lazy to use the search button.

    the default button is blocked for some reason in epoch, so try remap the key to something else and it will probably work.

    Since the last ArmA update I am having problems again with people buying vehicles and being unable to lock them. Has anyone else had that issue, and has that already been addressed with the current version up on GitHub?

  13. im not sure why you are saying there is no battleye for the current linux server, my linux server runs perfectly fine using battleye.

    my guess is you are confused about battleye and bec perhaps?

    bec will obviusly not work with linux because it was created for windows only, however there are some php scripts floating around that you can use to send messages or be commands to the server, you can then create a cron jobs that runs them at certain intervals with diffrent messages or commands.

    to answer your questions:

    1. i doubt it, steam auto updates clients and im unsure if its even possible to roll back to earlier versions, not to mention i belive the server would automaticly refuse older versions.
    2. epoch does not require battleye, but the admin tools uses it for diffrent tasks like ban/kick send messages and more, i think the admin tools will work without, but some features  depending on battleye will for obvius reasons not work without it.

  15. first off you should considder what the price of hiring a programmer vs how long it will take you to learn how to do this yourself.

    second i dont think people like you realize what the cost of a skilled programmer is ... heres a heads up about programmers salary:

    Entry Level 
    15 - 25 $ / hr or 30,000 to 55,000 / yr 

    Medium experience 3 - 5 yrs - Java, J2EE, C++, php, Ruby experience 
    25 - 55 $ / hr 55,000 - 100,000 / yr 

    Lots of experience 10 + yrs - many languages 
    60+ $/ hr 75,000/yr 

    no stop being so lazy and just go learn how to install scripts yourself, its not that hard.

    last but not least you are writing in the arma 3 section about help for arma 2 ....

  16. I'm aware this is a very bad idea and should have better worded that part of my reply. Could you elaborate/provide links for alternate ways to achieve this? (mainly to better educate myself)

    there is no "alternative way to do this",there is a wrong way to do it and the right way to do it.

    the right way is to make sure player and server use same mod version and ensure the keys are correct and have "verifySignatures = 2;".

    obviusly you are allowing more players to join if you disable the signature check, however you do not have any idea what version of the mod they are using or if they modified it in any way (not to mention what additional mods they could have activated aswell).

    by enabling the signature check you ensure everyone is using the same exact version of the mod as the server (or they will not be able to join), obviusly that will result in some retards not being able to join the server cause of mismatched versions which should not be allowed to join anyway (cause of what problems might arise from mismatched versions), however you are not allowing any tampering with the files either.
