Epoch Feedback (0.2.5.1) long feedback :-)

good day,

 

I've already played a lot epoch and can gain experience, I tested from the beginning and  each version.

 

Ai`s

 

Sapper  : Like them, more of them, spawns not often enough. and I take every garbage with.

Darter: perfekt, groups works good, not too hard !

Cultist: same like the sapper, i would like to see more versions of the cultists, even Geren which come out in the day.

 

please more monsters ! release the stonemonster and plz more of them, more monster, mutens or so ! or the bear, more killer animals ! make it harder ! no place for puss*s.  :-)

 

New Weapons

 

- The new weapons are very nice :-)

 

- But the weight fits not at all, you get four m107 in backpack? but only a lyncs?

  The weapons should be naturally adapted to the normal weapons, as the m107 should be at least as large as a lyncs and so on ....

 

- It would also be nice if all weapons be made easier it fande very realistic and nice if people can have a maximum of two small arms in the backpack.

 

- And the m107 dont reload between the shoots ? (I am creating as a bugreport)

 

- to many explosivs at all

 

Revive Player

 

- i like the multigun and think its good in year 2035, but revive is too easy and fast, even if it takes 20 shots you can revive people easily and safely from distance, too  easy, i think  a minimum of 30 seconds animation make (at the corpse) therefore it is at least somewhat realistic. maybe an animation in connection with the Multigun? plug the thing to where the sun does not shine and so on.... or maybe a better animaiation ? but who knows how in 20 years to revive people

 

Food Drink

 

- Goes down way too fast, but is well known.

 

- But why give animals only one piece ? i kill a animal with 4 legs and get one of them ?

 

Building System

 

- Like it.... works very good, dont understand why many people it dont like, it is easy and works great,

- there is only one small bug with the upgraded metalwall, u cant put a floor on it, upgrade after the floor is on top = no problem, but upgraded before u set the floor = problem (but i start a seperate post in bugreport)

 

Loot / Loottable

 

- Building material with the new metal pieces are very well ! enough metal and construction materials for all

- Still too many large-caliber weapons, you should look forward to a 7.62 mm thick, but this should not be a standart equipment.

- Lootspawn is perfekt since 0.2.5.1

 

Traders/Money

 

- Trader generally work very well, think it's good that the trader only have what was previously sold

- Weapons are too cheap

- Building material is too cheap, for such a lockbox for 400 crypto ?

 

Dupen/Cheating

 

- Anti cheat is so great ! better than it battleeye or bohemia ever manage to, really, respect ! very nice work, it is not easy for cheater in epoch :-) and this is great .-)

- but the dupen is still a problem, too easy ! on the other hand really what needs to be done

 

Epoch and other Maps

 

- Like very very very many others, we can see no more altis, altis is so inappropriate map for epoch, by the way, I also think the ugliest and most naked map in all armas

 so like many others we host our own epoch server with another map ( Bornholm )

 but no matter what map we have looked at , also from the aia pack (mappack) which maps all have a problem, there is no or not much trash.

 90% of the construction material and Backpacks comes from trash. it is a big problem, and other maps will miss about 1000 or more lootspots.(for example, threre is so many  trash = loot in altis)

 epoch needs other maps! All thing we need then is a universal script for random trash spawn. (Maybe only near houses and next to roads)

 nobody wants to always run around on altis, ugly naked map

 

 

so ... that's it for now, translated was the beautiful thing with goggle translate, I have somewhat corrected, but it still reads like mongo englsch :-)

Don't worry about the Mongo English, it's hard to sound perfect when using any translator.

Hey man, did u tried to build in a forest so far? You cant build at a non-flat area. If the floor isnt straight on the ground the walls/cinderdoorway fell down or with a bit of luck and some tricks (parking cars near the spot u will place ur wall) u will got some bevel parts (really annoying)

 

Snappingtool works great, but they need to add them to the pillars too. This will be the only chance to get a straight floor/ground (actually only for 1 floor)

 

Walls need REALLY fast a multiside update for the base frame. (u know these flip sh*t if u change ur side for building? if not, i mean these holy-moly-360°-all-angle-turn trough the ground) :)

 

And last but not least, i dont understand these collision rates.. if click on build any part destroys all, flips my HEMTT like 15 ft. through the air, lockboxes kills any trees, jammer destroy cars,

BUT: Note that, if u have placed a floor on a lightly non-flat area, set left and right a wall, then the 3rd in front of u, DAT WALL will fall down and not based on (like pillars) from the other 2 walls placed before.

 

Maybe, thats why many ppl dont like 'em

EDIT: Jetzt seh ich das der TE ja Deutsch ist ^^ falls du was nicht verstehen solltest, bzw der translator dir einiges nicht verständlich übersetzen sollte, erklär ichs gern nochmal auf DE :)

Once you experience some of the issue with base building you will see what players are talking about.  Shit blows up randomly inside them.

It's one thing to have to deal with someone raiding your base but to have the server restart and blow it up is pissing players off.

 

You can't build a base and expect it to keep your shit safe so there is very little point in doing it right now not even to mention the lack of building objects.

I started playing Epoch probably 3 years ago cuz of one thing.. The flexibility of base building that was miles ahead of every other mod.

Arma3 has a long way to go to reach those expectations.

 

 

All you have to do is park a vehicle in your base on some wood floors,  Go move a floor somewhere else in your base and place it back where it originally was.

 

One of two things will happen:

 

1. You will get in your vehicle and it will instantly blow up

2. The server will restart and it'll blow up. 

 

Then you'll see why many people don't like it in it's current state.

 

 

 

As far as the above poster's concern.. You need to build on foundations to build on uneven ground..

 

 

In conclusion..

 

You are better off sealing off an in-game structure like a warehouse and using that for a base. It is way more stable at this point.  Just find a warehouse and seal it off or a house with a concrete wall around it and seal off the wall then seal off the house doors.  Since building material is just as fragile as the in-game structure you should go for stability more than security.

@Korkmaz: the foundation or pillars have a snap funktion ! two fundations for 3 floors ! try i and u have a flat ground ! that is the problem, many get it wrong , and once everything is shit !

 

yes, There are some small errors in it (with the upgraded wall) , but many happen because of stupid unit, or arma the mother of the bugs himself is responsible, and epoch is early alpha, which are still just at the beginning.

 

instant vehicle turn after restart = arma himself

get in your vehicle and it will instantly blow up = arma (happend in other mods too)

 

 

and yes u can build safe, really safe bases at the moment ! i will post pictures tomorrow
